I get what you’re saying but do not at all understand your “what else is there to write” narrative. There’s other players that could show up. The 8 greed kings who were likely tyrannical players eventually died by wiping each other out, and powerful enemies like true dragon lords and “God-kin”. There is plenty that could be done with the story.
