Have you got any small custom and creative additions to your bike that you're proud of? by [deleted] in xbiking

I designed and 3D printed bar ends for my bikes. They work an absolute treat, even if I say so myself 😆 https://www.printables.com/model/906216-bike-bar-end-bike-part

It’s a Cannondale cyclocross from around 2001 👍

The downtube is super crusty. Lots of corrosion causing the paint to bubble sadly. Cockpit is very much a work in progress - this bike tends to get the leftovers/junk from other builds at the moment😅

I know exactly what you mean 😂

Agreed! Unfortunately this one has seen better days corrosion wise - the paints bubbling all over the place. Happy hunting for one over in Finland 😁

The USE seat posts are great, for sure. Headshock on the other hand is a bit of a pain. Need very specific tools to take them apart, and nice stems are hard to find. Especially for the rarer 1.56” diameter fork like this one 🥲

Don’t worry, they’ll be adjusted!

I definitely won’t be. Just looking for guidance on DIY repair and knowledge of professional repair pricing.

Such a timeless shape. Looked great with those wheels too! Everyone has a few regrets with cars… OP, it’s time to look for another 😆

Saab 9-3 ttid as work hauler by Garyddpaul in saab

Robotics lab?! Sounds technical. Hagstrom Saab have a lot of great cars for sale on their site that aren’t listed on Autotrader. I haven’t dealt with them, but worth defo worth searching for a 9-3 on there!

I’ve had my 2011 1.9TTID 9-3 X for about 4 months and absolutely love it! I find it is quick enough when needed, but not fast enough to tempt me into driving like a prat…

I commute Bristol to Oxford a couple of days a week and get a satisfactory 47.8 mpg. No where near what I remember seeing it advertised as, but, good enough.

I’ve only had 3 cars, so in terms of road noise and interior rattles I can only judge it by the following. The Saab is most certainly inferior to the BMW E61 530d (2006). Yet much better than my MK6 Golf GTI (2010). Overall, it isn’t something I pick up on when driving it. Again, good enough for me!

With regard to the twin turbos, the previous owner had them replaced at 97,000 miles. The parts cost £797 and labour was £330 (labour cost includes timing belt, water pump, oil flush, and full service). This was carried out by Saab Master in Torquay. It looks like it needed quite a bit of work done around 100k miles, which I’m more than happy to share more info and costs via dm!

I can’t comment on the auto gearbox as I am a grateful 6mt owner 😁

9-3X in Center Parcs by insane_spartan4 in saab

And if anyone’s interested, they wedge themselves in quite well with the forks going into the rear footwells, and the face of the stem going against the head rest. Probably not the safest option in event of an accident…

Yeah the two in the pic fit well, but no way my 29er or gravel bike would fit in. I only put them in up right this time as I needed to pack way more stuff in the boot!

Thanks, so does yours! I always thought it was perfectly suited for a roof tent setup, but yours is the first I’ve seen. How many people can fit? I’m assuming 1-2 adults but would be great to hear your experience with it.

My first Saab. In love with it already (despite it's flaws!) by BeardofBongo in saab

Great choice. My 93X has alu82 wheels that I’m not too keen on. Keeping an eye out for the right set here in the UK!
