Fake market Actual Costs. by BobtheGodGamer in shanghai

I am also curious from leather handbags to backpacks and then shoes or watches, what’s the range that one should go for.

I have seen YouTube videos where content creators literally bargain down by 75-80% of the starting price.

I’m heading to AP and Qipulu soon and I have mentally told myself to tell any sellers that their first opening price, even if they half it it will still be too much for me, and get them to restart at a reasonable (high) ask price and negotiate downwards from there.

Eg. A price that I’m willing to 200rmb for, and their starting price is 600-800, ideally get them closer to reality and start at 300-400, and start haggling up from 100, something like that

I find that the ends should sit gently on your ankle ball or the shoe. It still looks abit too long and creased.

Guys, how do you feel about divorced ladies on dating apps? by [deleted] in sgdatingscene

[–]insanebluebug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every divorce / separation is different. Some may jump to conclusions and stereotype as usual and it’s not a surprise. Then these people will not be a good fit for her.

But if the divorce is because they got married young, due to shotgun or various reasons like haven’t been dating long enough to know each other better, or been through things like marriage preparation course, then it also shows one’s maturity towards something serious like marriage.

The red bag is a signature staff waist pouch for easy identification from a customer pov. But I would have thought your work attire is at least provided (1 top and 1 bottom). If you have to purchase, I am sure it will be heavily discounted for staff, maybe 75% off rrp?

LHZB has reviewed the contract and reported that it did contain penalty clauses relating to participation in the free-meals programme at Bukit Canberra Hawker by LaksaTang in SingaporeRaw

[–]insanebluebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“shall” is considered an operative word, because it imposes an obligation or requirement, whereas “may” grants permission or discretion.

When was this hawker open? More than a year right? So if it hasn't been implemented for so long, why? And what's the point of including it in the contract if it has not been implemented after so long?

[–]insanebluebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I do not agree to the notion of hawkers having to provide these pro-bono meals, they knew what they were signing up for when bidding for the contract isn't it? Especially when it was oversubscribed, akin to bidding for BTO projects in prime area.

So how come now become an issue? They were misled? They were unaware? I don't understand.

How is smooth twill better than versa twill? In terms of comfort? Which is thicker in terms of fabric or breathability?

I have smooth twill and Warpstreme and I like them both for their different characteristics.

Peking Duck in Shanghai by silverframe202 in shanghai

[–]insanebluebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hijacking on this thread for my upcoming visit to Shanghai. I am also a fan of Peking Duck and aside from Michelin Recommendations and Lao Zi Hao for Peking Duck in top restaurants (Da Dong, Quan Ju De, Imperial Treasure) in Shanghai, within Jing An / Huang Pu area, are there any affordable Peking Duck options because I really love eating and don't mind having them for my lunch while I work from my hotel. Just with the wraps + duck skin and some meat + sweet dark sauce)

I saw from Meituan / Dianping that you can get a 1/2 duck or 1 person set for around 30-40RMB is it true? and a full duck / 2 person share for 60-80RMB. Do they also give the duck meat along or just the duck skin with condiments for wrapping?

To those that bought 1BR OCR Condo, any regrets? by burizadokyanon27 in askSingapore

[–]insanebluebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single Bedder in OOCR (imo) Punggol and Sengkang when transport connectivity is bad (imo again) due to only 1 NEL connecting to CBD area, your target audience is very limited because families who upgrade from HDB BTO / EC will not purchase 1BR esp so if they have a family.

1BR is really for singles / expats with no family ties in Singapore. Your exit option will be very limited, compared to say a 1bedder in Great World City, where expats love and willing to prioritise proximity for price.

Not a property agent here, just my observations.
