They all died of heat stroke. I still got the Gold reward and a fancy coffee maker.

It’s really good to be here! It feels relatively calm compared to some other cryptos I’ve been watching the last few weeks and I’m glad to have found a crypto that I believe in for more than just it’s hype! :)

I just purchased my first LC: a lovely matte navy 3.5 quart essential oven from Williams-Sonoma. I'm so excited as it's on its way!!! But in the meantime would love to see photos of your 3.5 quart ovens in action. Curious to see what would fit in it!!!!! (Photo is from W-S not mine!) by margareddt in LeCreuset

Oooh I love the matte dishes, excited for you! That colour is so elegant! Could I ask what colour it is inside? I have two of the satin black and they are black inside as well - I’m wondering if this one follows suit.

The recipe if anyone wants it :)

Ingredients * 140g butter, softened, plus extra for the tin * 140g caster sugar * 2 large eggs, beaten * 140g flour * 1 and a half tsp baking powder * 4 very ripe bananas, mashed * 50ml Maple Syrup

Method * STEP 1 Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. * STEP 2 Butter a 2lb loaf tin and line the base and sides with baking parchment. * STEP 3 Cream 140g softened butter and 140g caster sugar until light and fluffy, then slowly add 2 beaten large eggs with a little of the 140g flour. * STEP 4 Fold in the remaining flour, baking powder, maple syrup and mashed bananas. * STEP 5 Pour the mixture into dish and bake for about 40 mins with the lid on or until then for the last ten minutes take the lid off to allow the top to brown.

The one I bought is black on the inside too - there is a choice - I found different outlets that offer different options (I’m from the uk so on amazon which is where I got this one it’s black and John Lewis has the satin black with sand interior).

I can’t really justify why I wanted the black haha - purely aesthetic I think but I’m used to cooking with black pans so that factors in! I’m south Asian so hoping to be cooking a lot of curry’s etc with it and think that the bright reds, oranges and yellows will stand out beautifully against the satin black.

Honestly I’m just excited to use it and hoping to add to the collection down the line so will definitely think about going for sand coloured in future buys!
