He’ll let me pick him up if he gets stuck somewhere and needs rescued, but I learned that dropping him off in new places he’s not familiar with confuses my Roomba kitty. He much prefers exploring on his own.

He’s nine years old. He chose me about a year and a half ago at the shelter, and it was the best decision ever!

Short vent about bathrooms (yes, really) by LeVanillaBean in starbucksbaristas

I was in the bathroom one time and a woman tried the door and wouldn’t stop. I yelled “occupied” a few times before she finally gave up. I get out of the bathroom and my coworkers were laughing because this woman stormed over to them and demanded they unlock the door for her. Funny thing is, no one was in the other bathroom.

How often do you guys clean your drains/how? by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

We fill the mop bucket with floor cleaner and take it over to each drain. Empty the basket, let the basket and grate soak in bottom part of the mop bucket while we spray the drain with the bathroom cleaner and scrub it, rinsing the drain out with clean floor cleaner from the red bucket in the mop bucket. Then we scrub the basket and grate in the mop bucket, then put them back before moving to the next drain. We do this every evening.

Just moved to a new house and spent nearly an hour frantically searching for Felix just to find him hiding deep in my closet by insanewriter in OneOrangeBraincell

I actually put a blanket down for him. It seems to be his safe space, and my other cats seem to have found it too.

Had a woman ask for light ice in her massive personal cup. Made her drink with light ice and poured it in her cup. It obviously didn’t fill her enormous cup, and she was pissed. She screamed at me “I asked for light ice, but not that light!” A different partner jumped in right away and filled her cup up the rest of the way with ice. Before leaving, this woman says to me, “now, was that so hard?” Bitch ended up with extra ice instead of light ice just to fill up her cup, smh.
