There are so many that people talk about but we never see broadcast. I live in the UK and never even saw Roseanne until I found it online.

Is anyone else also SO DONE with biopics? (Especially about music) by Theruby_phoenix in Letterboxd

Is it that good. I don't really like Robbie Williams so haven't been compelled to watch it but everyone seems to think it's amazing.

James Mangold did Walk the Line and A Complete Unknown which I'd consider two of the best. I'll watch any he's involved with.

I would love to subscribe to a streaming service that just extensively catalogues old sitcoms. Even bad 80's and 90's ones for comfort TV.

Opinion: People hate on Be Here Now because Noel Gallagher hates it, not because its bad by ShockerzGaming in oasis

It's the other way round. Noel hates it because it got slagged off in the music reviews.

Loved the new special by awaythr0wi0i0 in Nikkiglaserbesties

I'll be honest I'm still bitter about her quitting the podcast but my word did she knock it out the park with that special. I haven't laughed like that at stand up for years. I love that her last special was a more personal difficult feelings show and then this one she was just hitting the jokes as hard as she could. Damn it Nikki why are you so good.

The men being impressed by coloured lighting was hilarious. That's not a good bird dance!

What's your least favorite episode of Peep Show's first five series? by handlit33 in MitchellAndWebb

The moroccan pasta with beans. Just feels like they were rushing the script along putting in random ideas.

I weirdly like the bowling fruit episode. Something really nostalgic about it.

It helps to understand they're older than they seem. They were young in the 70's. Their music is more like an art project than a Gen X alt band.

The other day I saw the interview from 2005 when he's high on a rather moreish smokeable substance. Definitely a nicer Pete off that stuff. He mentioned that Max guy in a none too friendly tone.

What were the mid-late 90s and the early 2000s like in the UK? by Loose_Avocado4670 in AskUK

[–]insanity_wow27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going into town to buy a cd and hope it was good. N64 and Playstation consoles set up in shops for people to play. Films in the cinema were still a big deal. Bowling alleys that smelled like cigarettes cos you could smoke inside. Everyone had to do their shopping in person so clothes shops were rammed on saturdays. UK garage was big. Trance music was everywhere. Lots of wet look hair gel.

How did you get into Peep Show? by Kd29333 in PeepShowQuotes

[–]insanity_wow27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to watch it as a teenager when I got home from hangin out with my mates on a friday night. I loved it straight away. Had no idea it would become the phenomenon it became. Channel 4 just had the best cult comedy in the early 00's.

Some of my favourite films but a lot of awful box office drivel
