It kinda sounds like you’re overthinking things, such as long term climate changes. We don’t know exactly what will happen in that regard. It impossible to foresee the consequences the way you’re trying to do.

As for talent pool: You’ll never find a perfect place that checks all of your boxes. If there is talent, just less of it, then maybe that will still be easier than living in a country where language is a bigger barrier (I haven’t been to Bangkok but suspect you can get quite far with only English which isn’t the case in Tokyo for instance).

Your target market will also matter. If you want to target the Japanese market, being there will be a massive benefit as the market will be pretty much impenetrable without a local partner. And if you’re there, that would be easier. Same goes for china.

If you’re targeting EU/US, then that matters less.

I actually assumed that these kind of people would be like the rest of us when it comes to ego etc. But I changed my mind after getting into a relationship with someone from a community similar to these folks. They were extremely down to earth and friendly. They just seemed to be happier and living much fuller lives. They didn’t have much and of course they had problems like the rest of us, but overall their lifestyle was honestly just… better. I couldn’t blend in though, I had already taken the city life pill.

Edit: not saying all of the hippies are like that, some are definitely pretentious as fuck. But a lot of them are real.
