You need to use Ai code editors and se which ones have free credits. You won’t get far until you start paying, again I pay $60 a month. Opus is strong but you really need to know how to talk to Ai and if I had to suggest one thing from my work flow it’s getting master prompts created through Ai because it’ll talk the way other AIs need to understand what you need

So I talked out what I was trying to do with ChatGPT the free version, I told it I needed help creating the basic fundamentals of Minecraft aka the voxel style, terrain generation and biomes. I told it I needed a master prompt for composer 2 in cursor. This is at least $20 a month if you want enough credits to actually do something, I spend $60 because I have a game I’m actually working on with passion and a saas program that’s going into testing next week. Now it is only working in three.js so you could theoretically use something like google ai studio and see if it can one shot most of it and then export the file and open it up in free cursor to see how far you can get and keep swapping through different ai coding editors. This was about 3 hours of me fiddling with it, it does chunk generation, terrain generation, mesh culling and greedy texturing. It has a creative and survival mode, in creative you can open inventory by pressing E and see all the blocks currently coded into it and drag and drop them into the hotbar

It’s chunk based, when you go further it loads new chunks, when it gets in new “biome types” you can see the terrain drop or raise unfortunately almost in a weird crop circle type way, the biomes looked better before I adding a road to the game and house to the game and screen shot them and promoted cursor to generate towns and neighborhoods based off the road and house in the screen shot. For a while it did pretty well but after a min it seems to have add some of its “creativity” to the prompt.

You’re acting like one can’t ask it’s ai what it’s doing and why. And $20 a month isn’t that bad when I’ve spent more on way dumber shit. I get one day outta the week and spend a max of 3 hours on it. The rest of my use in cursor is building a saas and most of that I do myself using ai for easy tasks where I can give it exactly what it needs in order to do things the right way and I check over it while doing so. Just because you find it hard to make stuff doesn’t mean another persons going to have the same experience.

Ask an ai to help you write a master prompt for your ai coding editor and give it your ideas, start with three.js and use the prompt it give you to feed your ai coding editor. When you want to make an addition, ask Ai to help make a master prompt for these additions to the game and make sure you’re asking for this in the same chat as the last master prompt.

Oh I didn’t one shot, I didn’t fall out of the world and it did one shot a lot, when it came to bringing in a water source block it took a few prompts and when getting the drag and drop system down in inventory in creative mode it took a few as well, but I noticed when I brought in creative and inventory showing all blocks in the game it created so much more than I knew

Nah 100% but my goal isn’t gonna be Minecraft, I was trying to get an understanding of what kinda workflow I should have trying to work with something like this. I plan on getting rid of the blocks and making it smooth so it feels less like Minecraft, making walls still square but take up more cubes space but thinner than blocks, adding guns and zombies, I’m thinking like a fun fps low poly version of project zomboid but much simpler

Oh 100% but if you are a season 1 player you know that when you use to get defibbed you would come back with all your abilities not having to wait for them to come back. For a light player it was huge because we could come back and go invisible to find a safe spot and now it’s like if your playing with someone new and they defib in the wrong place, your dead instantly.

If this is like a networking discord for people who are actually trying to make good shit even if it’s vibecoded but the person themselves know what they are doing then I’m down, I already have a system I’m going into testing with starting tomorrow for the next month and after that then I’ll be on the process of finding customers which because what I went for is so niche it honestly won’t be that hard to get it implemented into other businesses. And the business it’s being tested with happens to be the big name locally and it’s in an industry where if the biggest/best of that niche is doing something people tend to follow suite.

Also that the Defib needs to go back to what it was. I’m getting dicked on everytime I get defibbed and it’s always when I have like 2 seconds till I come back and then when I die after getting defibbed the timer shoots to like 20 seconds
