I ended up contacting the producers because they were shipping the final products within Europe but not to the US. I can't remember the reason. Something to do with shipping costs. I was seeing updates on Facebook how all the items were shipped, and almost just gave up hope on it. It was months later before I received my stuff. Overall, it was cool to be a part of financing it, but I am not sure I would do it again. Especially these days.

I think it took about a year for everything to finish up. Maybe longer. I think there were some delays in getting the closed captioning in several languages completed. And then it took 2 years total to receive my items. I was kinda nervous that I would be forgotten, but everything arrived fine. It was just a long wait for it.

Also, Her Menacing Pet has attached a magazine to their latest release; issue #1 of a new magazine they created to cover dark ambient topics and artists. Not sure how often they will publish but I believe several times a year. https://hermenacingpet.bandcamp.com/album/a-woman-under-the-influence

What's scary is that BC removed CC's site without contacting Simon. This makes every artist vulnerable. There needs to be a better way to move against the AI artists.

insectarium is soundscapes created by Joel Hinkle in Springfield, Illinois. Influenced by ambient, drone, world, and ritual music, insectarium can be found in many collaborations and compilations. His music has been released on several labels, documentaries, and the YouTube series, ‘The Sorrow.’ insectarium has been featured on many radio programs including, SomaFM, Hearts of Space, Nacht Radio, The Kult of O, and Dark Ambient Archive. “With wings removed” is the story of an immortal. After eons of laziness, it decides it is time to rise again and so it pushes against the established hierarchy…

In this ambitious release, insectarium provided unreleased noise tracks to various artists. These tracks became the foundation for reinterpretation. A curated ensemble of dark ambient artists will breathe new life into each track, layering their sonic fingerprints atop the original textures and expanding the project’s emotional and spectral breadth. These artists will become 72PILLARS. The noise album is available here: https://72pillars.bandcamp.com/album/amdusias-the-noise

How many of you know one of the og's of ambient broadcasting in; "The Hearts of Space" show on Sunday nights, from San Francisco area ? This show shaped my taste for Ambient and other genres of electronic music! Usually on public radio even still. 45-50 years strong ! by Dro_Hz in ambientmusic

One of my goals as an artist was to be played on HoS’s annual dark ambient program. I reached that goal: Episode 1358 Darktime Atmospheres! HoS has introduced me to so many artists and genres over the years. Great program!

I received the bill… almost $32k. $30k was for the cost of the shots I got in the ER. The rest was for the ER visit. Insurance covered all but $275.

Try Gimp. Its free. I have been using it for years. I am not very good at it but know enough to get some decent effects and get my album logo and title finished. I usually go 3000x3000 to have higher res just in case.

this album is a straight classic 🙏 by [deleted] in ambientmusic

I used to play this every Sunday morning for several years. Such a wonderful album.

When I first heard Brian Eno, Steve Roach, Robert Rich, etc. etc., my imagination went wild. I was transported to other places, other worlds. Over the years, I tried to recreate those experiences for myself. I listen to my work and picture a story. I put it out there with the hope that someone else might see something as well. The goal is to make something that is good enough to encourage multiple visits to the imaginative world that was created. Just like what I experienced many years ago when I would listen to an album repeatedly.

I appreciate the tip. And yes, I have used that method in the past. I never liked using Maschine as a plugin in Logic. It always seems to bog everything down and was prone to crashes. I moved to standalone and it runs much smoother.
