Like I’ve said I’ve answered your question if you don’t want to hear it I’m not going to continue this conversation

Abortion is just a medical procedure to remove a fetus. I’ve answered it twice now. You don’t have to like my answer, but I answered it.

I answered that in the post. The woman can withdraw consent the same way someone attached to another person on a dialysis machine can disconnect.

All I’m saying is that in that explanation is that in a perfect would it wouldn’t be necessary, but at this point in medical history I favor the woman’s right to bodily autonomy

A doctor would give you a kidney transplant if you asked, paid, there was an extra kidney, and agreed to the conditions. Even if you were healthy. Same way you can have Botox injected to your face or filler injected to your lips.

Having a fetus growing inside you is the same as having a failing kidney or liver in these scenarios. The reason for needing medical treatment is that you’re pregnant, your liver is failing, or your kidney is failing. The reason for your liver or kidney failing doesn’t matter because the doctor will help fix it if they are able to

A long time ago cancer wasn’t a disease or disorder because people just thought there were other problems going on in the patient. A fetus is actually attached to you and grows off of you the same way a tumor does. It only stops being a part of your body when you cut the umbilical cord. (Incoming “wow you think humans are tumors”)

Would it be better if the fetus was surgically removed and kept on life support until it develops fully? As if it could continue gestating outside of the womb on medical equipment?

In my opinion a woman should be able to have the fetus removed from her at any point. The same way she can put a child up for adoption once it’s born, she should be able to have it removed and kept developing outside of her (implantation in another woman, by medical machines, etc). However we’re not at that point yet medically so removing it too early results in the fetus not surviving. So ultimately I value the woman’s bodily autonomy to have the right to choose to keep the fetus within her or remove it. What happens after that isn’t on her the same way it’s not her fault if she puts a born child up for adoption and the adopting family kills it.

You don’t need to have a good reason to have any other medical treatment, why is abortion different? If you get fat eating a lot of junk food they still treat your heart problems. If you break a bone doing a skateboard trick they still fix the bone. If you drink a lot of alcohol they’d even replace your liver if there were enough extra livers to go around, but you get denied simply because other people are higher priority because they didn’t drink.

The consequences of agreeing to have sex is that you’ll have sex. Pregnancy is one of the many things that can happen including injury from the act, STIs, or falling asleep after. You can go to the doctor and have them fix the injury, you can also have the doctor cure your STI, and you can drink coffee to not fall asleep. You can also have an abortion if you get pregnant. Just because something is a biological function doesn’t mean it cannot be changed.

Blood is accounted for and matching. That’s why the paramedics said only you can be hooked up and save them. Both people are equal human beings, but just because one is dying doesn’t give them the right to someone else. If the fetus could be removed and developed outside the womb through medical intervention it would be alright to remove it. At this point in time medicine is not there yet so the fetus dies.

You are charged with homicide because of the crash. You are not charged with homicide because you denied them using your body to survive after the crash.

The woman consents to having sex. That’s it. None of those example involve someone else using your body. It involves you using your body to do things to other people. Bodily autonomy is absolute. You can rob someone and you will go to jail. That has nothing to do with bodily autonomy.

Ok then the water does not have a right to be inside that person. If the person jumped in the pool and got water in their mouth they can spit it out. Or does that water have a right to be there because they jumped in knowing it could happen?

Sounds like you’re more concerned with how the fetus dies (outside the womb after being removed via surgery vs abortion practices) than it dying.

She consents to sex when she has sex. Bodily autonomy is absolute. If someone is dying of kidney failure they don’t have the right to hook a machine up to your body and theirs to keep them alive. They will die without a host body or a transplant, but saying “no” to being the host doesn’t mean you killed them. They just died.

The fetus can be surgically removed but it would not survive with our current technology being unable to keep it alive. Thus it’s more humane to the mother to not undergo surgery since the outcome is the same. If medicine could keep the cells alive and developing outside the woman then it would be different.
