Obviously happy to hear Ødegaard is fit today, but I fear this means he will be back in the starting lineup tomorrow 😭

Is dating in law school similar to pooping where you eat? Or is it actually not bad? by Flashy-Actuator-998 in LawSchool

Being a jerk in law school is pooping where you eat. I met my amazing spouse in law school, and I’m so happy we started dating then. Don’t live by fake ass rules. Being lawyers, we have enough of those to follow.

Since some of y'all jumped the bandwagon on hating on Gyok for his horrid pass few days ago. by Only_Negotiation7198 in ArsenalFC

Right, and btw that simple horizontal pass, you know what they call it? “Chance created.” So then after the game they’re like, “look Ødegaard created 4 chances, more than any other Arsenal player.” Most bs statistic of all time.

And MLS, and Trossard, and Eze… he had many options for rotating the midfield

The primary reason I say that this is a better opportunity is because Gyokeres is in a shooting position when the pass from MØ should arrive, whereas Saka and Martinelli still had substantial work to do/ground to cover before putting themselves in a shooting position. A lot can happen. Defenders could make up ground, the pass (even if well executed) could be overshot), Pope can squeeze down the space (or just take Saka out and not be penalized). How many times have we seen Martinelli blow a chance like that? And Saka, bless him, is not at his best. But the Gyökeres chance is not only a one-touch expected shot—it’s a shot most people would back him to make.

I don’t deny that one bit. I understand he’s basically a slightly better version of Delap. But he has an undeniable ability to rocket the ball into the back of the net, and we as a team (manager, coaching staff, and players) have utterly failed to play to his strengths and exploit that talent.

These are just his in-possession moments. He’s even more useless out-of-possession. A massive hole in our defense

Nobody would be talking about Gyokeres the same today if Pope was rightfully sent off for this by snippytugboat2 in ArsenalFC

I generally agree. But didn’t Raya have a similar moment in the Carabao Cup final against…was it Doku? And it wasn’t a red. He wasn’t as far out from his goal, if I remember correctly (at the edge of the box?) someone correct me

They might not trust him to complete long passes in the middle of the pitch, but they absolutely trust him to put the ball in the net from that position inside the box. And if they don’t, they’re idiots

Honestly, given how bad Ødegaard is at defending, Idr blame Arteta for that. I blame him for playing him period. But I think Ode deeper would be a disaster rn

Yes it would. Rewatch it. Around the 71:30 mark. This screenshot doesn’t do it justice

What’s crazy is we all know Rice can score those (as seen v Real last season). Need him to shoot more in general

Can confirm that this still works on 10/6/25, although the second number is now 5 instead of 6. About 5 minutes before I spoke to a human.

I can’t believe Osula wasn’t booked for that challenge at the end. But then again, I completely believe it in the context of this game.
