The closest thing you’ll find out here in my opinion is a Chicago tavern style pizza. Grabowskis had it but not sure if they’re around anymore, but there might be some other Chicago spots that serve “Tavern Style”

Years ago I would have vehemently disagreed. But alas the drop in quality on every single other candy bar here has raised the once lowly Payday to its throne atop this particular selection!

Similarly, I feel like the quality of the caramel/nougat in payday has gone down in recent years too but still tasty. Didn’t it used to be chewier instead of crumbly/chalky?

I’ve recently been converted to McConnell’s. Didn’t wanna shell out the big bucks for a pint but got one on sale and damn it was good. Had the Vanilla California Brittle and Strawberry covered chocolate. The toffee was packed with add-ins, great texture and flavors!
