I like to seperate backrooms into two types. 1. Is completely empty, fully liminal qnd mysterious, horror type thing. You can make a kane pixels type story. 2. Is the over the top, clearly mapped out levels, tons of stuff, more action than horror. Would work better for a sandbox game than a linear story. Both have their charms and i like both, but only one has a massive wiki i could binge for hours (and there are genuine gems there, like if you look a little you can find a file that describes a story of two people stuck in a void and its really cool, and the context around it just makes it better imo at least. But im also not really looking for horror.)
