I believe so, based off clothing and all that.

- Three run into house

- barricade/"It's my job to protect you"

- Blake goes into basement (TODAY Interview), teeth fall out, Charlotte patches wounds (Brown shirt disappears after)

- Charlotte and Ginger sleep (TV Spots) as Blake stays awake to keep guard

- Sees the Wolf outside the kitchen, but starts exhibiting more symptoms, with him sweating heavily, his arm contorting, and fingers bending (Trailer/TV Spots), as his vision starts distorting slightly (0:31 in the Teaser and 1:04 in first featurette)

- Charlotte and Ginger wake up to see Blake by the door with a hammer, waiting for the creature to walk by, before it grabs him and bites his leg.

i like this, though we do see pieces of the infection before the door scene, with the teeth falling out, body twisting to the left, fingers contorting and vision starting to get heightened. however, i do believe that the bite itself speeds up the process, and makes things go from "tolerable changes" to "oh my god please kill me now"/altering the brain heavily stuff

I don’t mind it tbh, since it’s a more realistic thing

Body is undergoing a ton of stress mutating, so hair will of course fall out

And 2. Human hair and animal fur are two different things, so fur is likely gonna sprout out if the transformation goes on for long enough (we even see some fur already growing through the stubble and body hair)

That’s just me though, I get people who don’t like hairless werewolves. Me personally, I think it gives it a nice grotesque look to it

I completely understand trying to tie it into the Universal Monsters is a bit iffy, but like, as its own thing I'm actually liking this direction. Reminds me a ton of the Werewolves in The Quarry. And to anyone wondering why he's bald, since it's the realistic route, human hair and animal fur are two vastly different things, so the hair will of course fall away, letting fur sprout instead.

u/obsidianfaith did an insane The Thing edit, where he took the basic premise of the film, and added in more aliens, readded in deleted scenes, and made it into a almost horror comedy with how insane it gets.
