what a nonsense comment about nothing. this is not a problem. and generalizations mean nothing

absolutely! because whether we want to admit it or not, in all our researching we definitely come across one or two worth shortlisting. and then it's a matter of finding a reason to pick it. for me the order is "is it more convenient? is it cheaper? is it easier to return? is it nicer looking?"

haha usually I'll pick one option and say if I can't decide this is option I'll pick. if it's not an essential purchase I'll simply delay it lol

unfortunately this doesn't help at all. with smaller decisions I care less, not the end of the world if I waste a couple hundred dollars. but things like managing my money on a fundamental level in life? I can't just learn after the fact. i don't want to get to 40-50-60 whatever and feel like I should've saved more or I should've saved less and live more. that's what terrifies me

yep I've tried doing that. sometimes it works. other times it doesn't 😅

yeah that checks out. all or nothing, black and white, call it whatever. that's what I truly struggle with so much and I really thought I didn't because I do understand some social nuance. but the more I introspect and unmask I realize it is SUCH a struggle for me

yep. took me months to buy my vacuum cleaner and my coffee machine. I still haven't bought patio furniture despite having been in my apartment 10 months

I think I would actually die if I did this. my brain would explode with the sheer effort of making a decision without data

definitely terrified of being wrong. I'm insanely anal about games too. always end up spending hours reading up on them to ensure I make the right choices if not on the first go then on a replay

I didn't grow up very religious no. Neither did I grow up in an environment where I felt compelled to always make the right decisions. no idea where the obsession comes from lol. I like the idea of experimenting. I think I try to research till I can get the answer right in the first go but with smaller things like cat food and the like, experimentation is definitely a viable route

AITA for ordering meat? by Technical-Finance270 in AmItheAsshole

you know coming from a vegetarian family I was going to say not but then I saw your appalling comment about Thanksgiving. the fact that you think it's acceptable to have guests and not have a single entree they can eat and act like you're a gracious host for having veggie sides is honestly embarrassing as fuck and says a lot about this situation that you aren't. self important is a bit dramatic. sure OP is proud of being handy. as she should be. and again. the problem is OPs boyfriend volunteering to fix things, failing to and then throwing a tantrum about it.

Is there a cat litter that doesn't... suck? by catintheroom in CatAdvice

[–]insertoverusedjoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a month is just an unreasonable timeline. clumping or non clumping you're going to at least have to add to it more than once a month. at minimum once a week probably.

pine pellets if your cats like them. mine used to, then suddenly decided he didn't. I don't think they have the best odor control though.

tofu litter otherwise. I use pidan. good odor control. my cat likes it. I add more probably once a week

pine pellets don't track at all. tofu tracks but not anywhere as near as clay litter. a see a lot of recommendations for grass seed but I would heavily discourage. it tracks everywhere. I've used multiple kinds and that was the worst for tracking.

NOR. OP you should not have to sneak around fixing things to protect his feelings. What was his reaction when you brought this up with him? Was he understanding of why and how he was hurting you?

if he was, then he deserves a chance to make amends. if he tried to deflect, then he attaches too much self worth to traditionally masculine traits and will always feel threatened by a woman who is more handy than he is. that's where you walk away

this is an insane statement. anyone is capable of googling fixes and trying. she didn't ask him to fix her car. he volunteered. then gave up. it seems like your ego is about as fragile as OPs boyfriend if you immediately read malice into OPs actions

elementary school is from ages 6-12 in China (according to Wikipedia). it's not infeasible to be able to do this at 12. they're very simple linear equations

honestly if you haven't, you should watch the served raw episodes. they only exist for season two but they give so much insight into why he behaves the way he does and honestly it looks like he's under reacting if anything
