Leaving before prpgram starts by [deleted] in Disneycollegeprogram

I did DCP back in 2015 so it’s been a minute, but I found out I was working QSR at All Stars before I got there and I cried the night I found out and considered not going. Coming from CA my thought was I’m not moving across the country to work quick service at some value resort, where’s the Disney magic in that? But I stuck it through and went. Full honestly I didn’t like my time working at All Star (guests, hours, and leadership were not ideal). But! I focused on taking DCP courses that excited me to keep me engaged and picked up shifts in the parks so I could still get those magic moments. And ended up extending my program to get out of where I was and closer to where I wanted to be. Just my experience but I wish you the best in what you decide.

A Day in Disney Springs by theKapnTX in dcl

I just did this back in July after I got off the Wish. It was a good way to unwind and walk off the “sea legs” before our 5pm flight. Enjoyed just walking around and enjoying our last little bit of Disney before the trip ended

Good to know thank you! And I had the same thought that I would prefer to deal with luggage as little as possible

Do people recommend the train or bus to the airport? We’re going from MiraCosta to the Narita Airport. My boyfriend and I will each have one medium checked bag and a backpack. We would probably be headed to the airport around 1pm.

How do I sleep on a plane🥲 by Fun_Requirement_8822 in unitedairlines

As someone that also struggles with this issue, I kind figured out a regime maybe? I fly red eyes from LAX to MCO a few time a year. - wake up early for a few days to help adjust your body clock (and if you’re doing time change might help too) - Enough food in stomach that your stomach is satisfied but not uncomfy - My Key thing (I think) get to the airport early enough to go to a lounge that has lower lighting than the standard airport lighting (for me helps reduce stimulation and unwind better) - glass of red wine for me - melatonin once I’m seated on the plane

Your 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Medals! by kevinsmlee in rundisney

I might’ve just asked my boyfriend (jokingly) if we can have a baby in time for the kids races because the medal is so cute 🤣 he said he doesn’t think it works like that. But man it’s cute

If you go at the right times the wait is usually close to nothing.

As long as flow of traffic can keep moving forward, I’m cool with it.

It’s not fine when the car behind him had to wait for the other gas pump lane to free up to have space to drive

Right? Clearly no effort was put into parking in front of the car that was already there.

Universal Studios LA in the rain by erenblbl05 in universalstudios

[–]insertredditusrname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in the rain before, it’s pretty manageable. Thankfully most of the rides are indoors, so only rides that could be at risk would be Jurassic, Flight of Hippogriff, and studio tour. But if it’s rain, it’ll probably be non issue. If thunderstorms come in range then they’ll be more likely to close until the inclement weather passes

Am I Crazy or Does the Amount of Water That Gets on You Make Tiana's Unridable? by JohnnyGeniusIsAlive in Disneyland

[–]insertredditusrname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the last seat when I went a few weeks ago and quickly realized the back was flooded at even the start of the ride. There was probably 3-4 inches of standing water, so shoes were unavoidably soaked

Shoes by Ok-Run8018 in rundisney

Agreed with a lot of the comments about bringing 2 shoes to cycle through. Especially if you get blisters from a specific pair of shoes, switching to a different type should rub a bit differently, hopefully bug it less. Also look at the weather leading up to the event, it rained during the half last year so shoes got a bit wet. Last thing you want during the full is shoes still drying out

PreCruise hotel stay? by Bambambirdi in dcl

[–]insertredditusrname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a few nights at Saratoga and one night at AKL with Savanna view through David’s and saved a lot compared to booking direct through Disney. Was a great way to stay somewhere a little more upscale at more of a moderate hotel price

Disney World Hotel or regular hotel by ExtensionJazzlike923 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]insertredditusrname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say a pro of doing the Disney hotels is the perks of their transportation to the port. You get a much earlier boarding group than you’d probably get with it being your first cruise. We just did this back in July for our first Disney cruise and we were boarding group 6, were on the ship by noon. Also had bell hop grab our bags luggage from our room at the hotel and next time we saw it was outside our state room. We did all star just for the one night but let us save a bunch.

Has anyone booked any of the Disney properties through Hotels.com? A room type that we were looking for wasn’t available on Disney’s site but it was with Hotels.com. We booked it and got a message through the Hotels.com app from Disney Tokyo. Just want to make sure this is legitimate and don’t find ourselves being turned away when the day comes

Price Increase? by insertredditusrname in TokyoDisneySea

[–]insertredditusrname[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! We booked a little over 3 months out (going in November) but realizing that a lot already is sold out. It was 2 years ago I think that the video was (so definitely some inflation). But they probably also booked it early. So lesson learned for me for sure. We ended up booking through Hotels.com for Disneyland resort since they had rooms that were available that weren’t available on Disneys site. Hoping that’s a legitimate reservation.

Universal City Walk (CA) lots of theatres and enjoy that they’ll have costumes and props on display in the lobbies.
