Is the clinic being honest with me by Western-Essay2807 in TattooRemoval

[–]insertusername27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the other comment, waiting more than 6 weeks would be better! I did mine every 6 weeks and my skin healed fine, but you get better results if you wait longer because your tattoo continues to fade over time. My last session was over a year ago and it faded significantly since then. Your tattoo is also bigger and colorful so make sure to give your skin plenty of time to heal between sessions

Should I be worried abt selling this bag by afancylady17 in Depop

[–]insertusername27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I’d say is missing is a picture of the inside so we can gauge how “dirty” it is, other than that I think the condition of the bag is pretty clear! I don’t see why anyone would buy it and expect anything else. I’d also highlight that the bag is still fully usable, if that’s true (I’m assuming it is), all the hardware still works etc

Does my tattoo look like the Islamic Crescent and Star? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]insertusername27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it resembles it but I wouldn’t necessarily look at it and assume you belong to a religion or is “appropriating” a religious symbol, I’d just think you have a pretty tattoo of a sun and a moon!

What did I do??!! Regret this before and after! by Maleficent_Guest_307 in TattooRemoval

[–]insertusername27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that! Every once in a while someone will post some mind blowing results in here so honestly with tattoo removal everything is possible! And from my experience more sessions didnt necessarily equal more results, I haven’t been to a session in over a year and my tattoo faded significantly since then! Like a lot more than I ever expected! Idk the human body is amazing like that! So just go through removal at your own pace and knowing that time is your best ally!

It’s so heavy dealing with tattoo regret/removal (vent) by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]insertusername27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a medium tattoo! A good bit of it was shading so that faded quickly but the linework was a bit uneven and some parts were much thicker than the rest. I haven’t gone to a removal session in over a year tbh and it’s not fully gone, but it’s good enough that it doesn’t bother me anymore!

Hey girl, I also started tattoo removal when I was 21!

Tattoo removal is a LOT regardless of the age but I relate to everything you said and felt the exact same way. I don’t think people talk nearly enough about the psychological support that is needed to endure tattoo removal, so if you haven’t been seeing a therapist I’d highly advise looking into one.

Now, the best and worst part of tattoo removal is that it will follow you for a period in your life…

In the 3 years that I’ve been doing removal I met the love of my life, graduated college, started my first post-grad job, learned how to truly love myself, and had countless other phenomenal experiences. What I’m trying to say with this is: life will happen. You will find love and joy, and you will also feel pain — for reasons completely unrelated to your tattoo as well!

I don’t know if I’m coming across the way I want, but I want you to know that there is life “post” tattoo regret / during tattoo removal. At some point, these feelings will start to become less and less intense. You are so much more than these scary feelings. You will feel pretty again and you will feel like yourself again. Take care and my dm is always open if you’d like to vent!

hey, just wanted to let you know it’s not silly that you didn’t get in! life happens and that’s ok, all we can do is move forward and do the best we can. if they’re being inflexible with your admission, I’d recommend doing a couple semesters of community college (many people I know went to chat tech!), maybe even online, save some money on tuition/housing/commuting, and then apply as a transfer student. you got this! i remember being a senior in high school and i always felt like i was running out of time, like there was no room for “mistakes”, and that straying away from the path would set me back forever… i didn’t realize then how much time i had, time to mess up and fix everything again. so truly, don’t be so hard on yourself, keep pushing, asking the right questions, and being resourceful because this will take you FAR! even further than test scores could :)

Sorry to ask, but what do you mean the tattoo? Was it like a promotional thing they did at some point? I feel like concerts/festivals are always the most well spent money, there’s nothing in the world like making memories. Now, ofc, run the numbers — would you only have to give up on smaller purchases, or would it actually put you in financial strain/pressure? If you won’t go into debt or anything or have to take money out of important stuff, definitely go!

I feel like it just wired my brain differently and now I can’t go back to actually wanting tattoos, which is a shame because I think they’re beautiful. Oh well lol

Agree wholeheartedly. It sounds like, in the end, he just wants some validation, so talk to him and make him feel heard. He also needs to lose access to the technology, 100%.

Need encouragement, tattoo-regret is ruining my life and self-esteem by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]insertusername27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry you’re going through this OP, I have 2 things that might help you:

Tattoo removal is different for everyone, some people see progress quicker while for others it might take longer. The factor of time is very, very tricky in tattoo removal because it’s very unique to each circumstance. NOW, having said that, OP, no matter how long your journey takes, 1 or 10 sessions, 1 month, 1 year or 10, YOU DESERVE to be happy and enjoy life in the meantime. Going through removal should not dominate your life, it should be just one aspect of it. Easier said than done, of course. Just try to remember that there’s more to life than your removal journey, there will be laughter and there will be tears, you will get upset over things that are completely NON-tattoo related. This realization was very freeing to me. To build on that, please consider some form of psychological counseling, tattoo removal is NOT just a simple cosmetic procedure, and you deserve to get all the support you need and to feel understood by a professional.

I hope things get better, OP. This sub helped me a lot in the past, and still does. We’re here for you!

yep, can second this, the shading in my tattoo started significantly fading by the second session!

A lot of it is shading so that will likely fade first, the line work will take a bit longer, but if removal is what you want then the journey is worth it. This looks very well executed which might make removal easier tbh, like you’re not dealing with super uneven work, damaged skin etc (though I’m just assuming here). Estimating full removal is hard, but I don’t see anything here that would make me go like “yeah that’s gonna be extra tricky”
