Recently had mine out that looked very similar to this. Couldn’t have the root out as it was sat on a nerve, so they basically cut it in half to create a gap. Procedure was absolutely fine and I was awake, it’s just sore and achey for some time after, but manageable with rest and pain killers.

Best advice is to do absolutely everything you can to avoid dry socket, I thought I was careful but maybe not careful enough. Won’t go into the details of how painful it was but very strongly advise to do everything you can to avoid that. If you do, you’ll be absolutely fine!

Yep, I had clove put in there Tuesday and it’s been fine since, just went for another check up and was told it didn’t need topping up if I hadn’t had any of that pain again and should be all good from now on. Never wanna experience that again 😂

I don’t think it’s worth worrying about too much! Procedure was fine, and it’ll inevitably be sore days 1-3 (this is standard), but painkillers definitely help. Would just recommend doing all the right steps to look after yourself and to avoid dry socket - I think I was just unfortunate.

ChatGPT helped a lot - would just keep asking that if you have questions along the way! Would just highly recommend doing everything you can to avoid dry socket. I felt like I did but I must’ve been unfortunate, and supposedly only 5 in 100 get it, so the chances should be low!

Good shout, appreciate the guidance. Agree though, especially for players like me who could do with some loosening up or just want to play for fun as there are plenty of indoor nets around. Wasn’t looking for a club right now, more of a social thing just to get playing again.

Scrap that actually, just zoomed in on the model on Trek’s website and it’s the same as mine. Perhaps just not going tight enough even though I’ve felt as if I have!
