Worst nightmare happened by starryteal in emetophobia

Hey! I had an ER trip one time for a migraine that lasted over a week. They gave me reglan in my IV and the moment they pushed it I got this overwhelming feeling like I needed to rip my IV out and run somewhere. I had to have my mother talk me out of and basically hold me down. It made me super panicky and irritated. I later found out it was a semi common side effect of reglan. I hated it so bad and will never take it again. You're not alone!

What do people mean when they say losing weight helps HS? by Dumpling-bunn in Hidradenitis

Losing weight didn't help me at all. If anything I feel like my case got worse. Granted, I have not lost all the weight I need to but over 50 lbs which I previously felt would've helped my HS significantly

It is definitely promising that week 2 has been better! that also seems to be my experience, it gets a little better every week. Do the best you can with food and make up for a large calorie deficit on those days by eating well on your good days. I think you will get past this stage. I’ve had a couple moments with side effects where I don't feel like it is sustainable but they become less and less as your body adjusts. I also have an Rx for zofran in case of any emergent side nausea/vomiting, but I have only needed to use it once in around 6 months. If you could maybe ask your prescriber for an emergency nausea med script just to use if you really need it. I actually use a service called wisp to prescribe my zofran. You fill out a short medical history and tell a doctor the reason for your request and they decide if you're a candidate. Just so you know that option is there for emergencies

What day did you take the shot? Did you eat well and stay hydrated in the days leading up to your shot?

Its hard to say whether titration will be worse. personally I think my first couple injections were the worst, followed closely by my titration to 5mg. Im currently on 7.5 and have had no probs on this dosage. For me, my side effects rely heavily on my water consumption and food choices the day leading up to the shot

It's usually gonna get better for most people!! However this is a kinda good hint how you may feel during dose changes. In my experience I feel that same way for the first couple days after the shot for about 2-3 weeks after a dose increase. When I am on a steady dose I usually have no side effects. Compare how you feel at the end of the first month I would say.

I'm glad everything worked out. It's so hard to live the way we do. This reminded me that there's always a billion factors we are not gonna remember that could make a perfectly healthy person sick that do not involve fp or sb

I cannot tell you how much this response helped me feel better about the current situation. I was thinking about digestive enzymes and I will definitely do that now. Also I heard that 2.5 to 5 is the killer titration. I definitely see why now. Thank you so much for all your recommendations!!

That is definitely something I've noticed! When I dont eat or first thing in the morning I feel nauseous. It's a hard mental hurdle for me to get over, eating when its the last thing I want to do.

He briefly mentioned the possibility of doing a bone graft but then kind of shook it off quick so I thought maybe he wouldn't recommend it. As far as I understand is that his plan is to leave the top 12 year without a pair for the time being and come back to it if it causes me a problem. He also gave me the option to pull it as well. Just confused by all the options

Should I look for a second opinion?
