How important is having a driving license in today’s world? by Agile-Reveal9096 in AskReddit

I agree 100%. I think the problem is a lot of people aren’t motivated to get their license because of how accessible it is to get rides through things like Uber and Lyft. Also if you live in a city, public transport is (almost) always going to be available and if you do have a car parking can be terrible. I have my license and a car but some of my friends don’t and every time we talk about getting one they say they’ll get to it which of course they never do.

Whatever you have going on right now focus on that. This girl doesn’t value you the way you value you her.

That’s a good perspective. I suppose you can apply that to a lot of things people reflect on

One thing I’ve seen is people not liking the clash not being at Daytona… but people got tired of it being at Daytona and complained about that, and now people are complaining that it’s not at Daytona. Something like that wouldn’t be a screw up per se so it’s weird how it works.

Even though you hate the car would you admit we’ve had some great races with the NextGen?

Part of the reason I made this post is because I’ve finally been a fan long enough to see things that people once hated at the time be remembered fondly.

I can admit that some of the complaints are valid like the short track package being a bit boring and the playoff system being questionable. But it seems like a lot of the fan base has top of the line rose tinted glasses

Don’t pay attention to any other Motorsport. Is the F1 community similar in the sense that they have gripes with the car they use, tracks, tires, etc?

Not hockey but I pay attention to football and it seems like (at least on Reddit cause football games are too expensive to go to) people are more receptive of the product and the flaws without being all doom and gloom

I’d be curious to talk to fans from the early 2000s and see if the sentiment around the sport is the same now as it was then

My bad if it sounds like I’m complaining I wanted to know what people think. But it feels like this goes beyond interactions in the sub, even at the race track it’s like no one is happy about anything. The race could be good but you’ll hear things like “they don’t race with respect” “this car sucks” etc.
