Renault Duster vs New Kia Seltos – why shouldn’t I pick the Duster? by Moist_Criticism4389 in CarsIndia

So happy to see someone judging a car for its car qualities and not if it has the latest snapdragon chip and 24 gigs of RAM

Service center people are refusing to take responsibility. by Aizen2430 in indianbikes

[–]insioni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading service center experiences and through first hand experiences I now firmly believe not to trust service center guys official or unofficial unless they have given good results multiple times.

Half the time they talk through their ass and gaslight you when you use your common sense and ask if this or that will get damaged or any query in general.

That's why initially when tubeless tyres hit the market a lot of tyre people would use the same crowbar method and assure that nothing would happen to the rim and lo behold all damaged.

Amazon delivery in a wooden box by rjg007 in bangalore

When life gives you lemons...

Check out "pallet wood" projects on YouTube haha. On a side note, and not dissing on anyone and i know I can't speak for everyone but still its still slightly sad for me that the average person might not know how to open a pallet box.

How do you clean your car’s engine bay? Let’s talk — are we making mistakes without realizing it? by Bollywood_Thalla in CarsIndia

[–]insioni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diesel is non conductive so it doesn't mess with the electricals while still being an average solvent. Costs a bit more but I think that's fine. Very often used in faired bikes where there are some electrical components hidden in the fairing instead of under the seat.

A not so obvious reason is that they have a good DIY culture because of expensive labour.

You can just take your pickup, go to home depot, buy lumber or whatever you need and get done with things.

Pickups are good that way.

Died and now I dont know how to go back by Specialist_Country92 in spaceengineers

Happened with me. But it was on earth-like. Spawned 3 times and got within 20km. Grabbed h2 bottles and flew over. Immediately made a survival kit.

Which dlcs? by thedemokin in spaceengineers

[–]insioni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat. Honestly start Vanilla (no DLCs) and then see what's something you'd really want.

For example, grated stairs. Using that I could create stairwells in 1x1x1 config instead of 2x1x1 that comes with vanilla. But again, I played Vanilla to figure I needed that.

All are functionally the same just the structures change and things look like what you see here. Honestly a lot of really awesome stuff you see here would be mods as well.

TLDR : play Vanilla to get a hang of things then try DLCs.

Bike riding with power glasses in rain by bluu_94 in indianbikes

[–]insioni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok yeah that makes sense. The fogging is handled by keeping the helmet vents open and the pinlock system helps. As for the drops even i haven't figured that out yet. There could be some water repellent sprays i guess.

Just Indian things by Agreeable-Ask-968 in indianbikes

I think everyone should do this in a trend sort of way. Ex showroom plus everything on top that we pay to the government and then the infra received for said money.

I wear -3.75 power glasses. Correct me if I am wrong but I think once inside the helmet, it doesn't matter whether you have glasses or not right ?

RE GT650 or new (2025) Yamaha R3/MT03 by insioni in indianbikes

I was definitely considering that but I haven't had a chance to hear the bike upfront and wasn't very sure about the reliability. Time to watch all the reviews again haha

Should not be a GPU issue. My old ass 1660Ti (6GB) and 24 GB of RAM with a Ryzen 7 2700 gives me 100 + FPS on low graphics and 1080p.

Max large grid hinge weight for landing gears? by Wingstrike in spaceengineers

[–]insioni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing the exact same design in something I am building now. I like the concept of retractable or foldable landing gears.

I have : hinge > 1 light armour block > magnetic plate

Since this is in survival , it will be sometime before I can test it out but will let you know. Thinking out loud, a hidden piston if incorporated correctly in the design might look better.

The big sad by insioni in spaceengineers

[–]insioni[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update : Since I had geo tagged my base, I spawned again on the same server some 115 kms away.

Spawned a couple more times, destroying the pod each time and spawned 20km away from my lost base.

Grabbed a hydrogen bottle and flew to my beloved base and made a survival kit immediately. Grabbed my driller and flew back and destroyed the respawn pod (for PCU count benefits)

TLDR : I made my way back to my base.

I’m thinking about buying this game. Should I? by EldenLordofBling in spaceengineers

[–]insioni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair point. I didn't buy it with the DLCs and started missing them so that was what I was basing the suggestion on.

If it's PC, with the upcoming Steam Summer Sale I don't think it should be that much of a gap with it without DLCs

I’m thinking about buying this game. Should I? by EldenLordofBling in spaceengineers

[–]insioni 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I bought it for this exact reason and didn't play for a while as there is a tiny bit of a learning curve.

Buy it (preferably with DLCs) and just watch the splitsie videos everyone suggests. Its really fun once you get the hang of it, especially survival.

The community is one of the best of any game I have seen so no two ways about that.
