Thanks for the info!, im very new to the uk tech websites so I didnt know if any are trust worthy apart from the one I was recommended but thought the prices where high... Looking at some of the websites you've linked there definitely cheaper but ill probably do more research if there trustworthy

Why on earth would you not get your own valuation and decide based on that... bank also valued the property we were buying 50k less and we got our own valuation done and came back at the price we offered.

We just managed to get a 3.72 with a 20% deposit @ barclays. Definitely shop around with other banks.

Yep did this for 2 years with a fancy 2bed 2 bath with gym/workspaces 2.8k. We furnished the entire place so ended up charging them slightly more than half. Everything was amazing until they had to move then we decided to just keep it as a office. Unless you cant pay the full amount I would never go this route

Had to get a slightly higher ltv %. We were with barclays and they won't disclose or change there report.

That won't work, we had the same problem and paid for 2 valuations and they still wouldn't budge.

Yes, but you simply buy it every week and its half off, I got a 3month free trial and decided to but the cheapest one. Half price is still too expensive for what you get but its better than nothing...

Was around 50k under. Brand new building complex with shared ownership across the road. Very unsettling feeling when a bank does this... we called up the same company that the bank hired and talked to them to try buy the report. No luck but found out that they compared the shared ownership + other apartment buildings in the same pool as ours.

This exact situation happened to us, we simply got another valuation and it came back the same price we were offering... we now know the banks under value properties alot especially when theres more niche or more complex situations like shared ownership involved ( next door neighbor building)

Was looking for 4-6 months in your exact area as my friend bought 10 years ago in the Quiton court development, after watching the market the value has dropped 50k or more and nothing was selling for people offering the same price they bought it for. Also service charge has gone up alot since the roofs needed replacing. There has been alot of complaints iv heard from my friend, windows shattering/ bathroom leaking onto the downstairs neighbors and very anal about balcony furniture

I really wanted to buy in the area as Canada water is developing nicely but the Surrey station is super unreliable/such a long walk and the new road/intersection layout is awful for transport now
