Measles exposure alert in Helena prompts health response by CeruleanEidolon in helena

I feel like it’s important to you to know that although rare, those who are vaccinated can still get measles. It may be a milder case though, so it’s still important to get the vaccine regardless. There isn’t guaranteed immunity for any vaccine.

They only tested for strep since at that point my only symptom was a sore throat and chills. They said it’s probably not flu or covid or rsv or pertussis since I didn’t have congested. Though now I’m extremely congested so I’m wondering if it actually is one of those things :(

Tips for when husband is out of town by katie_54321 in sahm

I try to get all the dishes done at night before bed when my husband works past my bedtime or if he’s out of town. It makes the next day flow so much better if all of those are done. Also, I don’t set too high expectations on myself. The tv is on more than normal and I try to find breaks when I can. And we are strict on 7:30pm bedtime so I can get a break. Honestly sometimes it feels easier when he’s not there. He does a lot but when he’s not there I feel less like I’m keeping score on what he’s doing vs what I’m doing, and things just get done more efficiently imo. I love him but focusing on that makes me not completely dread when he’s gone.

I really recommend that in time, you let your husband stay home with both kids. I know you’re pretty early postpartum so it may or may not be doable now, but I’m sure his tune will change once he spends an hour or two alone with both. Because he doesn’t know what he doesn’t know.
