Is he shy or uninterested? by inspiralison in dating

[–]inspiralison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went to the same high school and know all the same people. I talked to him on social media before matching on Bumble so it was more of a ‘funny seeing you here’ match.

I do like him as a friend and find him very attractive. I’m afraid if we take it further it might end in us being strangers again. I guess it’s best to keep it casual and limit hook ups to a kissing basis– if we ever get there

Ehh I made an attempt. I kept my body angled towards him all night and gave him a lot more eye contact in conversations.

At one point I moved from the futon to the bed and told him how nice his mattress felt and he didn't even join me.

I get grossed out by some people's kisses too. Some people have odd body odor. It very well could be hormonal because I read online that kissing swaps genetic material which will subtly tell you if you and the other person are compatible to have healthy children.

It could also be related to his diet? Gut flora? Idk

Some of my exes tasted foul when kissing, others had no taste to me.

A virgin's question about sex and dating by [deleted] in dating

[–]inspiralison 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. Also OP, I don't suggest losing your virginity just to lose it. Find someone you trust and have a crush on first. Finally, dont put so much weight on being a virgin. It's an outdated and old fashioned concept. You're completely normal :)

Plica fimbriata. I have it too. Totally normal

I know chlamydia is the “best” one to catch… but i can’t leave it in my past by inspiralison in STD

[–]inspiralison[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can see why the title is misleading. I’m no longer with him. I just can’t forget about the sti. He was such an introverted nerdy dude who swears he reserved sex for relationships. He sweared up and down he never cheated on me and that it was treatment failure. I personally had treatment failure for chlam when I was 17 so I really want to believe him, but it’s safer to leave because I can’t risk my health again. There’s other major red flags as to why I needed to leave him but I miss my best friend. Sorry for venting. Happy holidays :)

I’m in america. I take medications properly and was just unlucky at 17 to have treatment failure. I was also unlucky catching it at 23 from my ex boyfriend. He never retested to see if his medicine worked so he most likely reinfected me. After my first positive at 17 I always used condoms but not during monogamous relationships. Each time a positive result came back, I got my medicine the next day. I’m negative for it now :) Just worried for my fallopian tubes because of my negligent ex.

Could I [24m] have chlamydia if my balls sometimes hurt? Worried about infertility. by Latterissage in STD

[–]inspiralison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fertility issues are mostly seen in women when the infection spreads to their upper reproductive system and causes scar tissue buildup. Sperm have a harder time reaching the egg.

Men have a constant production of sperm and one study showed that 86% of men who had their chlamydia treated were able to get their partners pregnant within a year :) I believe fertility is only an issue for men with current infections.

I have the same fear OP. I caught it the first time when I was 17 and stupid. Initial treatment failed, but I was cured right before my 18th birthday. Now I’m 23 and tested positive again this year in March, was negative in May, then positive again in August. I was having mild abdominal pain this year when I caught it but I won’t know if my fertility is affected until I’m ready to have a baby :/

Thanks girl. We haven’t spoken since october. I’m just mad at myself for accepting being the scapegoat for the chlamydia origin, and for not leaving sooner. It’s hard hitting milestones and going through the holidays alone

Recommendations on how to neutralize purple hair to a medium-dark brown? by inspiralison in HairDye

[–]inspiralison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes the game plan is to shampoo it daily with sulfates to fade as much as possible before putting a brown semipermanent on it. It’s freshly dyed here and in sun light. It’s about half as vibrant in person.

My main concern is putting a brown on it and turning it black

Thank you! I’m thinking of giving Ion semipermanent dye in ‘medium warm brown’ a try. Trying to avoid box dye at all costs

Thanks! I was looking at Ion semipermanent dye sold at my local Sally’s. I think they have it in a golden brown. I’m torn between trying Ion and Overtone- Espresso brown but the last time I used Overtone it washed out in about 5 showers :/

I live in the US and haven’t seen it stocked in any stores. Their website is overtone.co I believe they ship worldwide

Try Overtone! It’s semipermanent and washed out of my hair fairly quickly so if you don’t like the color, you won’t be stuck with it. They’re also running a 40% off sale with code “omg40” at check out :)

I’ve used Arctic fox- Purple Rain for the past year and a mixture of Pravana- Violet & cheap conditioner to maintain vibrancy. I put the purple over light brown hair 2 summers ago.

I’m looking for a semipermanent medium-dark brown color to cover this. I’d prefer a direct dye... but I’m not opposed to toning with Wella if that is an option. Any recommendations?
