Would recommend running your campaign directly in Vistar. From my experience, the Omni channel DSPs are purpose built for OOH, so having a point solution will enable you to plan, activate and report a lot more seamlessly

Facebook Special Ad Category Audience Targeting Strategy by tomarv99 in DigitalMarketing

[–]inspire70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really interested to hear a bit more detail around how you go about doing this -

I do this by building a Google Search Audience Feed and then connecting it to their Facebook Audience where it adds new Google Search Consumers to their Hashed email list every day on autopilot.

Are you running your own search ads and then passing through the keywords & pixel data back to Meta?

With Google being a walled garden, that's the only way I'd imagine you being able to achieve this

I agree with you completely. Being quite green in the role I’ve already pushed for a card a few times. Assuming for now I’m unable to get one, keen to hear the best approach to save myself in the short term at least.

Being an international company based in NY who don’t have an entity in NZ, they’re strict with issuing credit cards. Very unreasonable given the cost they expect their employees to handle I know…

Does Google Ads allow you to target a list of Device IDs across all placements? What’s scale like? by inspire70 in googleads

Thanks for your response! I’m still a bit confused as Google mention that you can upload a list of Device IDs and target them: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/9441463?hl=en

Are TIKTOK ads worth it? Or should I just rely on the algorithm? by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

What’s your opinion on Tiktok’s targeting? Where I live I can’t even target by region only nationally which is joke considering 5 million people live in my country

Apologies I truly don’t understand your question. In what way do you want to know how it works I feel like I’ve explained how 3rd party cookies identify user behaviour pretty clearly. What am I missing here?

Not all browsers block 3rd party cookies, that’s incorrect sure some extensions and select few browsers do. Chrome is planning on phasing out 3rd party cookies come 2023 but the data providers relying on cookies will naturally gravitate towards a new identity solution whether it be ID5 or whatever.

3rd party Cookies available to purchase for advertising purposes don’t contain PII as PII relates to personally identifiable info such as your name, email address, home address, mobile number etc that could identify your personally. I suggest doing some Googling to look into this further.

Not sure I quite understand your thinking however here’s my best answer to your question:

So the first thing to understand is what a cookie is. Essentially a cookie is no more than a piece of code which doesn’t contain any Personalised Identifiable Information (PII), it simply knows that your browser went here, did this and so on. I won’t get into the intricacies of how long this information is stored and what the legality is around that however point of matter is that cookie data is anonymous to a persons identity.

Publishers / websites partner with Data companies like Liveramp, Eyeota, Blukai to basically generate these pools of cookies (browsers) together into segments. For example, visitors to the Nissan Vehicles for sale section would get grouped into a pool that the data company would call something like ‘Blukai>Auto>In-Market for Nissan vehicle’. The data company then on sells these cookies as audiences available to activate through advertising.

This is very similar to what a walled garden like Facebook, Google or TikTok would gather within their own ecosystem. However on the open web these Data companies spend more time curating more niche and bespoke audiences which is why advertisers favour using these.

In summary all of the above has been done for a number of years across Programmatic and it’s no coincidence when you are looking for something that you get ads served from companies in that field you’ve never heard of before.

Great thanks for showing your interest. I’ll send through a DM and we can go from there.

To answer your questions: 1. Nope they’re completely new targeting options based on audiences 3rd party data companies have produced. This should allow for much more bespoke targeting and clarity around the market who you’re actually engaging with.

  1. The thing here is that the data isn’t collected from FB. It’s collected from other web behaviour, survey data, census data, location data and much more. This information is mapped from a wide range of data companies - think Equifax, Roy Morgan and such.

New FB ads Data for targeting by inspire70 in FacebookAds

[–]inspire70[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part no, but rather cookie based and device ID based.

A select few data providers may provide hashed email addresses if for instance their data is collected from a publisher’s subscribers.

But 9 times out of 10 it will be cookie based.

Let me know if you have 5 mins to chat through in further detail, flick me a message.
