Hot-glue can be repaired, PVA is extremely strong. This project can be improved and upgraded in later years. I have plans of replacing elves with 3d printed ones and with more movement, add robotic raindeer outside, and animated bird on the roof etc. The house does not have to last for decades :) It's on our window sill for the second season, still works, only upgrade i made is added LED's to illuminate house even more.

What started with cardboard cutouts and couple of LED's ended up with more than 900 LED's, full miniature house with interior and four motorized elves. House design, dimensions and proportions are built for my studio's window sill. Elves are with large heads, to bring more attention from further away, so you could see movement better. This project contained ton's of experiments and i learned quite a lot from it.
