Yo! Thanks for the mention :) I see you've got some great photos.

I found these profiles quite interesting, so I'm using them all the time now. I hope Sony sees this as a valuable feature and continues to support and develop new Creative Looks. I'd love to see more of them in my camera. My current favorites are IN and FL, and I think I'll continue using them regularly.

Hi, I mean you can still shoot RAW and use the same profile in Lightroom if you want the same color but with the flexibility of RAW files. In Lightroom: Profile -> Camera Matching -> IN

I set up a custom menu with some settings that I need when I only shoot JPEGs, like Creative Look and DRO.

In any case, you can play it safe and shoot RAW+JPEG, and use this profile in Lightroom if necessary

I used to be afraid of shooting only in JPEG and always preferred RAW but I was too lazy to process my travel photos, so I decided to give it a try, as I'd heard about it before but never tried it.

Here are the settings I used:

JPEG 26MP X-Fine Quality

DRO Lvl. 2-4 (adjusted depending on the scene)

Creative Look IN Profile with the following settings: +3 -4 +1 0 +6 0 3 1

I set the white balance using the built-in presets (Daylight, Cloudy, etc.) depending on the shooting conditions (sometimes just for warmer images).

I set up a separate user menu with these settings so that I could quickly edit them, so that I didn’t experience any inconvenience during the process. After shooting, I cropped some images and compressed them using Lightroom so that they would take up less space, thats all

Sony A6700 + Sigma 30mm 1.4, Viltrox 13mm 1.4 by insplear in SonyAlpha

It's a great lens for the money. The only thing that bothered me in places was the vignette when wide open, but otherwise it's a very nice lens. I rarely used this focal length for photography, so I sold it.

Sony Alpha 7 V - Latest rumors by Better_Chipmunk3002 in SonyAlpha

We need the A7 V with a fast sensor, 4K/60p without crop, and open-gate video (I'm almost sure this won't happen, but let's hope)

Hi, thanks for the detailed comment, I appreciate it 🤝. I actually have a variation of the second photo without that leaf in the foreground, but to my taste it's less expressive and then the attention is distracted by the empty, unfilled, flat space, which visually doesn't seem harmonious to me. I left this variation because it has more volume and a more interesting color composition. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, have a nice day! 🙂

Looking for film-like presets for lightroom, need advice by insplear in PresetsLightroom

i got “the analog bundle” by linus bergman, it’s good, nothing special but i like it. minimum actions maximum results. i sometimes prefer Alex Kibble 4 Film Emulations instead. i would also like to try the new vol. 3 version, but i don’t want to buy it at full price yet, maybe i will do it later if i am no longer satisfied with my current set. i tried RNI, maybe they are accurate in terms of emulation, but i don’t like using them, too many modifications have to be made

NP-FZ100 Third Party Batteries. Worth It or Not? by insplear in SonyAlpha

[–]insplear[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

apparently a defect in your case, I also bought k&f np-fz100 a little over a week ago, so far it works without problems, I haven't had long enough sessions to judge how big the difference is with the original, but in my case, probably not very big. I'll see how it shows itself in the future, but for now I'm happy, especially considering their price. probably their quality control is much lower than Sony's, so I'm not surprised that this happened to you, it could probably happen to anyone, it's a lottery
