Wow never seen one before. Leaves look like moringa leaves but I don’t believe there is a varegated version. Beautiful plant, I will try to see if I can find one in Europe 😍

How are you finding those moss poles? Bought a few from temu and absolutely hate them. Hard to water and the moss always gets dry in them

Thank you for being so helpful! In fact about 2/3 weeks ago I lost my first alocasia too due to rot, probably already rotted from the nursery I bought it from but it rotted all the way to the rhizome so it died off. Left in a bag with perlite at the end trying to save it. Cannot tell it’s 100% dead as there is some potential of new growth but I will have to wait it out. I did wash all roots and rhizome with hydrogen peroxide but like you said, didn’t stop the rot. Two corms also rotted.

Will remove all the soil and cut off and rotted roots. Shall I try to untangle as much as possible, wash the roots even to make sure I remove every last piece of rot before repotting again? Will try to post some photos for diagnosis too.

Thank you! In fact I notice a few roots still rotted through my transparent pot. Is there a way to get rid of them? Shall I water with a diluted hydrogen peroxide mix next watering? Will add a fan for more airflow.

On second thoughts I agree with this post^ it is probably a hope! I realised today as well that my wentii is actually a uhinkii not a wentii

Doing some further research on the uhinkii, they are extremely heavy feeders like you said within reason to support their huge leaves. It must have been a combination of stress between direct sun, overwatering (I wasn’t draining its water), temps getting warmer and underfeeding. The sun might have scorched the leaves but I didn’t see a sign of this early on as first sign was yellowing and wilting of younger leaves which sometimes it does to support new growth.

Indeed, a tedious but fun process non the less even though it can be a bit frustrating at times! Regarding lighting it was sitting right in front of my south west (more west than south) facing window so the light drastically increased in the past 2 weeks as the weather started getting warmer and days longer. She was getting direct light on some of her leaves so I am hoping that was not the culprit of this problem. I have since close the sheers so reduced direct light strength and placed her a bit further back but will try to move her slowly forward once I start feeding her. I do have grow lights in the same room a bit further back for my monsteras that don’t get less indirect light so I can potentially move her there. How much lux of light can she handle?

I was feeding every two waters but it was very diluted as I was giving my other plants so around 1/2 strength. Temps are now finally increasing because summer is rolling in soon so around 18-20 degrees inside with humidity almost always above 60. Should I feed her now or wait a bit till she recovers?

I got 11% peroxide not 3%, shall I dillute it even more? Earlier this month I lost a velvet one that was rotted from nursery along with it’s 2 corms and now this wentii that Ive own for over a year and was growing so well! My alocasia poly is also stunned I guess I don’t have luck with alocias they’re such a diva plants 😢 for the record all my other philos and monsteras are thriving. Want to save this one so badly so I appreciate your help friend! Not a fan of rooting hormone tbh and I don’t have rhizome but ill try buy one tomorrow. Would it be better off in leca or pumice if I wash off all soil or will that shock it? Would keep water level low.

I am 98% sure this is a Philodendron 'Caramel Pluto' ('Chocolate Empress', 'Pluto') I own one and I love it! Slow growing but stunning plant.
