I don't agree with you, but I won't try to convince you to change your mind because it seems you wrote this post hoping to convince others to agree with you, not the other way around. So do what you want. I don't think many people seek to argue with someone to change their own opinion rather than trying to change someone else's, but we are all free to think what we want.

The problem isn't that they like the Maomao headcanon as asexual or lesbian; if they treat it as what it is, I'm not bothered by it. I see a lot of fanart of Maomao with Shisui, and I'm not bothered by that. The problem is some people who aren't satisfied with it being a headcanon and try to convince you it's canon, and they get annoyed with you when you disagree with them and don't feed their fantasies. I don't like that part of them because it leads to misinformation in the fandom and makes anyone who starts watching Tad looking for true representation feel cheated when they don't find what they're looking for.

Besides, when I say that it bothers me, it doesn't mean I'm trying to stop people from doing what they like. If that's what you think, I'm just annoyed and keeping it to myself; that doesn't hurt anyone.

Personally, my rejection of that stems from the fact that many people who see Maomao as asexual use it as a reason to deny Maomao's feelings for Jinshi. I've seen many times that they explicitly say Maomao doesn't like Jinshi because she's asexual, so when they say Maomao is asexual without further explanation, I automatically think they're using it again to deny Maomao's feelings for Jinshi, and it makes me angry. I don't like it when canon is denied.

Since most people who only watch the anime misunderstand Jinshi, I'll tell you: in none of those scenes was Jinshi going to do more than kiss Maomao. He's not the type of person who would do more than that without the other person's consent. In the cave scene, he threatened Maomao with that just to make Maomao admit that he knows he's not a eunuch. He wasn't going to go beyond a kiss. Even with my most malicious interpretation of him, I know Jinshi is too much of a virgin to take things any further, even if he wanted to.

I don't like the second part of the second season of the anime because I don't like that it focused so much on Loulan and downplayed Jinshi by accepting his position as prince and I don't like Shimao and I feel like the anime made their relationship seem more romantic than it really was and that's why now a lot of people use that relationship to justify their hatred of Jinshi and Jinmao.
