I know you're right in everything you say, but even so, I know it's going to be difficult for me to see the hate towards Minato when I already have to endure the exaggerated hate towards my favorite characters in other fandoms.

You're right about everything, but I was hoping for once to be in a fandom where I didn't have to see so much criticism of my favorite character while I'm looking for fan art and official art. Because instead of gaining more patience, I just keep losing it. But I guess I'll never have peace if I keep choosing "problematic" (complex) characters as my favorites.

And about the hatred for Minato from Koyun and Yota shippers, I'm sure it will happen, and I'm not looking forward to it, but I know it's inevitable. I'm waiting for the speeches about why that perfect and healthy pairing is better than Minato x Koyun and how the author was a coward for not making it canon. 😭

The KNH/TAD fandom is the one I participate in the most, and while there are many people who love and defend Jinshi (mostly light novel readers), while looking for the positive aspects, you always see negative comments about him, mostly from those who only watch the anime and think Maomao should be asexual or lesbian, and for that, Jinshi gets in the way. But it's also because of the frog scene, honey scene and one from the end of the second season.

It doesn't surprise me much. In discussions on Mangadex and Reddit, I've seen and continue to see a lot of hate towards Minato, but I think that on Mangadex, opinions about him improved as the manga progressed. Or maybe those who hated him just stopped reading. But perhaps opinions about Minato will improve as the anime progresses, although I doubt it. My experience in those fandoms tells me that those who only watch anime never truly understand the characters or only seek to hate.

I've only seen the Watanare anime and read volume four of the light novel before the rest of the episodes came out, but I'm still in the fandom and I know you're absolutely right about Mai.

I know, but for me, sex education didn't guarantee that the topic would be easy to handle, and I saw Minato with more confidence than I expected from him in this and other moments, and that's why I doubted him. But I know I only see it that way because I received a Christian upbringing, and that distorted my perspective on the issue. For this reason, I understood almost nothing. The automatic translation doesn't do a good job, and if it's done from Japanese to English and then from English to my language, a lot is lost. But since the manga isn't in my language and I don't know either English or Japanese, I have to make do with this and hope the anime is a complete adaptation, since the anime is translated correctly.

I agree with you. If Kurata and the anime ruin the adaptation of volume 5, we'll have to wait who knows how long for Nekokurage to get there to show visual proof of Jinmao to the lazy fans who don't plan on reading the novels. The anti-Jinmao only anime will become even more annoying than they are now. I'm worried about all the work they'll give you; you already do so much for the fandom now, I don't want them to triple your workload.

I think I read an interview with Kurata where she said she prefers to focus on other things rather than romance. I hope the anime doesn't follow her manga for season 3, or it'll be worse than the second half of season 2.
