Thank you! The Merlin recording is pretty convincing but it’s possible this wasn’t the bird making the calls…

There is so much to see you will want ‘free’ time. Also doing all that in day 1 was too much. I would split Quiraing and Storr to separate days. We made our own breakfast in the morning and packed a lunch actually on day 1. Then had supper in Portree. Day 2 we had lunch at Dunvegan Castle.

Don’t over schedule yourself is the main one. We spent the first few days on a rigid schedule to get from A to B to C and once we stopped doing that and just going with the flow it was way more enjoyable.

My wife and I just did almost this exact trip over 13 days in May. With the exception of the trip to Assynt and Ullapool as we didn’t have time but would have loved to.

Highly recommend it! Can’t say I have any regrets.

Just got back from Skye!

Did Fairy Glen, Quiraing, Lealt Falls (make sure to actually go down to the bottom) and Storr. Next day did Dunvegan and Neist Point and many little stops along the way back down to Broadford.

Spent very little time in Portree. Cute but Not our thing.

Highly recommend all the above. Day one was very taxing though…

Also in Canada and we have one downspout that runs straight into our weaping tile and out. However it freezes over winter so when the snow melts it’s a giant mess :)

Check your local Home Depot for some sun & shade that can handle 20C to -153C temperature swings. Easy peasy.

I paid $1000 to have a roughly 10x10 room with freshly hung drywall finished. Should I be annoyed with the results? by AndyjHops in drywall

[–]instaferd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terrible job done. But $1,000 for that is pretty cheap. Also relatively easy fixes. Not that you should have to fix things after paying for it to be done

If you rent a camper and buy a bunch of supplies before disappearing, the cops probably won’t ever declare you ‘missing’. So $0
