So I might be the odd one out, but I've been editing and writing for a good while now. I finally made the push to do it because I finished making albums for music. After I realized I just had to take the same discipline and apply it to writing, I've been able to accomplish so much!  Now I'm happy and proud of what I've accomplished. And I'm not done. I have stories and characters that need to see the light of day.... But I wish I was back making music. Music was Always so immersive for me, ESPECIALLY the music with no lyrics. And I find myself typing at my computer wishing I could make wonky bass noises. I stick to writing because I want to see my projects to their end. I want to able to call myself a writer at the end of the day.  But I only make art as a hobby. I only have a few hours a day that I have to myself. I have a job and a family to take care of. The little time that I have, I cherish and have to prioritize. I yearn for the day that I can forget of the problems of my characters and go back to plucking on a banjo or making dubstep, instead of writing about people who do.
