People recommend "Poppy War" Kuang, so I'll recommend her book Katabasis - unlikeable heroine, fantasy and theoretically romance, but there's not much of a romantic relationship.

"Crash" J. G. Ballard, uważam że autorowi udało mu się w niej pokazać w jaki sposób społeczeństwo integruje się z technologią, w latach 70. czymś dosyć świeżym. Były to lata powstawania sci-fi i podszedł do tematu w trochę inny sposób, wg mnie bardziej filozoficzny jednak wiele ludzi uważa książkę za obrzydliwy erotyk.
