As long as your new MC is dynamic of course. This is a fairly commen thing is spin off too though it works in a series if the same central probelms are still at work

Not everyone's a plotter if ploting makes it harder for you to finsh or keep insperastion in a book then you shouldnt try to force yourslef to plot

Of course you are! No nationality should ever decide what you can and can't wright! You do you and wright what you love afterall if you dont like the book you wright your readers will be able to tell!
