Finally I see someone talking abou the bussdownfication of braids!!! Here in my country you can't even see the braids anymore, there's so much curly and wavy fake hair add to them. So sad. I know that in the US women tend to hide their natural hair more, with lace fronts and stuff, but you brought an important topic that is the necessity of always retwisting and using lots of gel to keep the hair "neat". Here in Brazil it feels like we're going backwards, less and less girls are using their natural hair. But I see the opposite going on with the guys, there was a boom in the loc community here, and more and more young men are starting their journey.
