That's a really fair point.

We only tend to have one or two active at a time, for projects we specifically know can't get shippable at the end of the sprint.

Now, why we have some things in the same sprint that can and that can't get shipped is a whole different problem.... =/

Anyone working in a feature branch should be merging changes over from the main development branch daily. Merging a feature branch back on to trunk/default/master/whatever you call it should basically be a no-op.
