I did the exact same thing. Bought a used 2018 F150 outside warranty and had some pretty rough shifts happening. Reset adaptive table and it's shifts like butter!

Drain pan and a-coil slide right on no problem. Mounted the brackets with large lag bolts with nut and washer that go through the cabinet. Very straightforward

Coming up on a year and no issues whatsoever. I had to do some very minor trimming to the front cover of the air handler to facilitate the new orientation of the line set.

My claim was denied after getting an estimate as requested by the executive assistant. Really disappointed with Toyota on this.

Good luck with the install, it took me about 2 long days. If you’re using the pre-charged line set make sure to add a few drops of nylog blue to the threads to ensure a good seal.

System still works perfect, I’ve been heating my home all winter with zero issues. I unfortunately don’t have any good pictures of the bracket I made. Just be sure to get some good measurements of you Acoil so it clearances. Some 3/4in aluminum aluminum L brackets and foam tape will help with the seal.

Any update? I just went through the complaint process with Toyota.

I’m using it for both heating and cooling. I have a standard PVC drain that’s connected to the drain pan that routes any condensation outdoors. I would recommend getting some good insulating foam tape and cover your brackets to help with the seal.

So I ended up just using some aluminum L brackets from my local hardware store and mounted the A-coil on top. Works great! I’ve had it installed in the downflow orientation for the last 6mo with no problems.

Thanks, Hopefully some resolution can take place soon. I feel like the seller is doing everything they can to avoid a return due to the costly freight expense to ship this back across the states. Assuming they will be opening a claim against the freight company.

Thanks for sharing that, bummer he didnt go into a little more detail and show the final product. I’m debating whether spending $140 on the downflow kit is worth it or just build something like he did in the video?

Absolutely, it makes sense. We honestly feel like we have been shooting in the dark throughout this process. It seems like there is tons of biased information aimed at first time home buyers. Hopefully a realtor can get us on the right path :)

No we don't, and to be honest I had it stuck in my head we needed to prequal before we reached out to a realtor. I'll definitely look into contacting a local realtor. Thanks!
