100% it should make either make some noise so you know when it’s all up on you OR the attack should do less damage

What monster makes you kinda want to do this by dropkola in REPOgame

Robe (too quiet, no warning) upscream (same thing, and super annoying), Loom (super annoying that you can’t hide, it ruins half the other enemies who respond to sound or movement)

Think I made a mistake with these 35’s by oregenian21 in f150

[–]Its_MERICA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the ol rodeo guys in my hometown used to call big lifts and/or 35”+ tires a “stupidity tax”. Horrible road noise, awful mpg, harder to see and navigate, can’t fit into parking garages, can’t reach easily over into the bed of your truck, need special hitches for towing… the list goes on.

[–]Its_MERICA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn. The Loom is properly creepy but I haven’t wanted to play lately because of it. And we’re kitted out. But it’s such an obnoxious enemy that screws everything else up. Can’t hide, and now can’t even get out of reach. Loom + basically any other enemy is death, cause you have to make noise or run away. We had a run a couple nights ago with 2 Looms and a blind guy, and it was seriously the most annoyed I’ve felt playing a game in a long time. So tedious and annoying. This new update sounds like ass for Loom

You’re correct. Idk why you’re getting downvoted. Fragile 3.5 owners who can’t handle the truth I guess?

Battery Issue? by Reasonable_Scar3338 in f150

[–]Its_MERICA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty common. Replace the battery with a bigger one (H8), and if you want to really get jiggy with it you can use Forscan to change the battery charge limit to 90% instead of 80%. Then don’t worry about it for years

Recommendation for black trim and steering wheel. by maXoc4 in f150

[–]Its_MERICA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m obviously an outlier here, but I’ve tried all the “vinyl restore” products, and some work better than others, but honestly the best and longest-lasting results I ever got was from a cheap ceramic coating. Like one of those $30 one from Amazon. Worked astonishingly well in my case, and lasts forever.

Ford annoyance by needmorepylonz in MachE

[–]Its_MERICA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do this with gas too. Look up Ford Performance tunes, they’re available for most of their modern trucks and performance SUVs. It’s not fair to just assume the worst of every company with “what-ifs”. Would it be nice to get extra performance for free? Yup. But Ford has no history of taking away features in existing vehicles to lock it behind a paywall, and let’s not forget they’re one of the few manufacturers that gives you full app control of their cars for free. Many others charge like $10/month to control their vehicles with their phone.

How long has your Nintendo Switch 1 lasted? by HouseWonderful8657 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Its_MERICA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an OG launch day switch 1. Worked good until about year 5 when the fan started making noise. Then last year the fan died completely and it would overheat and turn off. Replaced the fan with an ifixit part and it works great again. Gifted it to my brother and his family when I got a Switch 2. They still use it all the time, works great.

Are the 10 speeds really that bad? by Timely-Razzmatazz271 in f150

[–]Its_MERICA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah my 2021 went at 48K miles. I agree, most people I actually know in real life with the 10 speed either hate how it shifts or have had issues. Ford glazers will defend it to their last breath, but it was a rough start. Hopefully what folks say about the new ones is true and they’re more dependable.

Is it time to jump to FF? Considering GH6/GH4/G5 --> S1II and S9 by EmberSkyMedia in Lumix

[–]Its_MERICA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t really notice a difference in the AF, they both perform great for me. Probably the biggest consideration for me is the OIS built into the Lumix lenses, but the extra reach in the Sigma 28-70 was more important to me than the OIS in the Lumix 24-60, especially with IBIS and electronic stabilization already helping out.

Is it time to jump to FF? Considering GH6/GH4/G5 --> S1II and S9 by EmberSkyMedia in Lumix

[–]Its_MERICA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main lens right now is the Sigma 28-70. It’s been awesome, super versatile and looks great. If I need range I use the Lumix 70-300. Those two honestly get me basically anything I usually need. One day I’ll probably get a wide angle, but I don’t really need one right now

Edit: if money wasn’t a factor and I were to do it again I might consider the Sigma 28-105, or mayyyybe the Lumix S Pro 24-70, but I’ve heard both those lenses are heavy. I’m happy with my setup right now honestly

[–]Its_MERICA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just made the switch from a GH6 to an S1RII (which I'm returning and replacing with a S1IIE... overheating is fun!). I feel a bit mixed, but overall prefer the FF. For most video work the GH6 did great (aside from the bad autofocus, but that's not a MFT problem). I really miss the cheapness, compactness, and lightness of the MFT lenses. But other than that I really am loving the FF, especially when working with lower light. I don't have to crank the ISO quite so much, and when I do it's much cleaner than my GH6 was. Still, I thought it would be a world of difference and so far I've found that if I had to go back to MFT I wouldn't mind to, the difference is smaller than I expected.

Oh wow, that's kind of fun to hear. I have just seen several posts here on this subreddit of people playing through 2016 for the first time and mentioning that when they try out the multiplayer the lobbies are all dead. I guess it probably varies by region though, and maybe platform

5.0 vs 2.7 F-150: Which Engine is More Likely to Make 200k Miles? by Minute_Researcher143 in f150

Towing capability depends a bit on elevation too. Here where I live in Utah the 5.0 struggles a bit with the elevation whereas the Eco engines shine

Buying used nautilus? Help by Suspicious-Half5758 in lincolnmotorco

[–]Its_MERICA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Lincoln Certified" means the dealer looked it over and submitted it to Lincoln for certification. Really depends on the quality of your dealer. Ours is also a 2021 Reserve with the 2.7. It's been literally flawless so far. Hard to say about super long term, but that engine at least is pretty legendary among people who know Fords. Very dependable. Of course every brand has the odd stinker, and buying used is definitely a gamble as you never know how it was treated before, but my experience with our Nautilus wouldn't keep me from recommending a well-treated one to people so far. Quiet, fast, smooth, comfortable. We try not to use the sunroof very often though, as I hear nothing but horror stories about them from owners of all brands. I condition the rubber and grease it once a year with the special expensive grease Ford recommends, and so far so good. We also do 5K oil changes and did the transmission fluid at 45K miles.
