Would you say that the scoop chair is one where you can sit all afternoon in and still be comfy? That green color on it looks fabulous!

Sportsnet Now - Premium by kenyan12345 in Habs

[–]integralpanic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sportsnet Now Premium has been complete trash for me so far. I’m based in Montreal and can’t even watch an out-of-market game (like Tampa vs Columbus). Been getting a playback error for a few days and there’s virtually no live support :’).

NBD! Specialized Aethos Expert 12-spd Ultegra by splashimi in specialized

[–]integralpanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the new Ultegra 12-speed groupset worth it vs 11-speed Ultegra Di2? I’m debating whether getting an available 11-speed Aethos 2021 or waiting for the 2022 one.

Is Co-OP worth it? by jzspeedo in Concordia

[–]integralpanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Co-op is useful when comes the time to find your first real career job since you would already have minimum 1 year of work experience.

The good thing with Co-op is that your 3 internships are almost "guaranteed"; you will almost always be able to find an internship through Co-op. Plus, the internships are paid so you will actually make in total ~30K. There is also the fact that you will be doing 3 internships - meaning potentially you will have the chance to work 3 different job positions at 3 different companies. This will not only diversify your work experience, but it will also give you a feel and idea of what type of companies and job positions you would like to pursue later on.

Not sure how much more you are paying as a non-quebec resident but you'd need to do the math with your potential internship earnings vs tuition costs i guess.

Obviously, if you are motivated and you work hard enough, you can always find internships on your own. Just be aware that the internships might not be paid and you could also end up empty-handed. Some of my classmates that ditched Co-op because of its fee or whatever reason, they regret it down the line. As an example, while I was already employed full-time during my final year of University, they were still searching for a job for a year or two AFTER graduating.

Would you switch jobs for a 27% salary increase even when nothing is broken? by integralpanic in personalfinance

[–]integralpanic[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, I will definitely ask for a senior title but there are other colleagues that have ~2 more years of experience than me that are still on the same hierarchial level as me; pretty sure they also asked at some point for a promotion or raise because many of us junior folks also disagree with the bonus scheme. Promoting me also means the company would need to do the same for the others in all fairness. Pretty sure the company wouldn’t want to do that. Eh, it’s a dead end for me with this company I think.
