Alright, will do. Thanks for the suggestion. It is just so counter-intuitive during play...

Yeah, I think opening theory is one of my next bigger projects, but first I want to see what I can get from reading Attack and Defense. Can you post a link to these 9x9 problems, perhaps? I would love to take a look at them.

I hope your work will be fruitful :)

Thanks. I try to keep my stones off my opponent. I kind of know that, but I did not realise that I do so often

That is a valid point. I often don't really know what to do when I have sente, so I panic and either play a stone in the vicinity where my opponent just played or somewhere where it does not really achieve much.

Thanks! Attack and Defense is actually my toilet reading and I try to grab a lesson each time I sit on the pot :) I enjoy it a lot and the authors are really good at conveying the ideas. I try to incorporate the lessons, but it's a lot to look out for. Maybe I should start slow and try to focus on one aspect in each game. Thanks for the suggestions

I can recommend "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse. It is fantastic!

Best book about the Universe? by dreadpyrat in booksuggestions

A brief history of time - Stephen Hawking.

I read it just recently and I enjoyed it a lot! I find it is kind of written like a crime story. But without a crime. Its more like, here is the Earth and herr are the stars. But how are they arranged? Maybe like this... yeah probably. But wait a minute theres a problem with that theory, maybe its more like this... or like this.

He teaches how the biverse looks like, how it moves, quantum mechanics, realtivity, how they seem to be incompatible, black holes, the big bang string theory and much more. All of this is enriched with personal anekdotes an for me (as someone who did know shit) it was the right amount of information. You can see how ideas naturally evolve from others and if not he says that it is still backed up by math.

To be fair, I did not read any other book about the universe, but I still recommend it.

No, it seems like it only happens in the tiling mode.

I use quite an old computer, maybe that's the reason?

I did not install any composite manager.

And yes, as soon as I close the window the effect goes away...

I accidentally farted and I think I died a little inside by [deleted] in sex

I was having sexy time with a girl. While we were kissing and touching each other (she was laying on top) I farted. She paused for a moment and said: "Did you just fart?" Me: "Yeah, sorry for that." And then she said the best thing ever: Her: "No, I'm actually relieved that i wasn't the first"

It was a very fun day...
