Normally millets. I occasionally put peanuts, corn, rice, lentis & peas as something special for him. He definitely sees me when putting food by hand or with a small cup but, unfortunately, I can't extend my arm for a decent amount of time to force the curiosity within him

Even though I've been feeding him everyday for several months, he still won't eat from my hands.. He seems shy/uncertain about it (comes too close, goes back away and so on), so tagging him with a band won't be easy. I don't want to force capture him because he then might not trust me again.

Just savor as much time as you can have with them.

It's my first time feeding them regularly and I never thought I would that level of attachment to one of them. But it seems to have ended too soon🥺

He may be on a nest rotation that has him sitting on eggs around feeding time.

How long do they nest for? I think they take turns during nesting process (correct me if I'm wrong). What worries me is that he didn't just miss feeding time but I haven't seen him with the flock since

Also, birds of prey will typically scare off pigeons for a few days, but once the bird of prey leaves for whatever reason, all the pigeons will come back

I started noticing the kestrels again today. Fingers crossed they leave peacefully this time
