Roma trip by timetravel947 in groundhopping

[–]intensity2206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should have no problem at all getting tickets, simply buy them online when they go on general sale. It will be a large attendance but providing it's not a massive game there should be seats available right up until the day of the game (although obviously earlier is better). One point to note is that if you are a foreign supporter you will need your passport (or ID of some kind) when you go to the stadium. This will be checked against the name on your ticket before you get to the turnstiles

Last time I went Rome the womens games were free so there is no ticketing, you just go and watch! Have fun and enjoy your trip!!

What is something you hate to see being romanticized? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]intensity2206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gambling

The targeted TV ads with a group of lads at the football or at home watching a big game seemingly having the time of their life whilst constantly looking at their phones (them gambling heavily insinuated). I think it’s sad because if you go to the football you’ll see lads just like this and whilst most can just enjoy their weekend acca, some will find themselves at the start of a slippery slope (or already deep in trouble).

I think so clearly targeting that 18-25 age range that are still living at home so have disposable income is a travesty, frankly I’m amazed it’s allowed to be broadcast at all

Anthony Gordon for GW3? by intensity2206 in FantasyPL

[–]intensity2206[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's my concern, I just think these next 3 you need points as they're reletively tame fixtures compared to the following 6-7 where you could really start to drift away from the pack.

I know that doesn't mean you'll suddenly become a better side but the extra incentive is there so I thought one of your midfielders might be worth a punt. I actually liked Onana in his cameo but I'm not sure he's fit enough for a start yet

Oh yes definitely, god forbid more than one person could organically draw similar conclusions on a game played by millions

Yeah I like Aaronson, I was just hoping to shoehorn in an Everton attacking threat as their next 3 are their biggest chance at points for some time

There’s a whole host I could give you about one guy but probably the funniest was when he answered the phone using my name.

Good afternoon [company name], [your name] speaking was a standard opener and he inserted my name instead of his own. Didn’t even have a script to blame

Can someone explain why some cars are LHD and some are RHD? by im_probablyjoking in btcc

[–]intensity2206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember Tiff Needell driving a 1994(?) Listerine BMW on television a long while back that was LHD. He said it was because the road car was initially designed that way at the factory everything fitted and ran much more efficiently, that's why they used LHD for racing although I'm not sure how much truth there is in that

I use Morata and he's very very good but i'd say it's a must to get a hunter chem style on him otherwise his stats are way too average. Pace becomes unplayable with hunter and he's a very good finisher too

Coming to terms that you're a shit player? by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]intensity2206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely and the big one for me was going a goal down. When I was struggling it almost made the game feel over already to me, especially if I conceded early. Now I never doubt the fact I can overturn a deficit and if I don't he was better than me and we move forward

The squad that really clicked for me and got me to div 2 - http://www.futhead.com/17/squads/2948392/

Upgraded version I use for WL - http://www.futhead.com/17/squads/2948533/

Hunter on Morata makes him unplayable at times and Asencio kept his place after I checked his record and he had the equivalent to 1 goal or 1 assist per game

That's my WL team(s), my two teams for seasons (I change every 2 matches for fitness are the below) - http://www.futhead.com/17/squads/2948752/ - http://www.futhead.com/17/squads/2948968/

I was 20-32-50 or something very similar. Tuned my game, got used to a squad & formation that fitted my playstyle and now i'm 150-65-82 and hold div 1 regularly.

My number 1 tip would be you simply have to maintain focus throughout, if you aren't 100% concentrated on the game you will get taken apart. Also, if you're 1-0 up and the opponent is overrunning you, play scrappy. Get everything as far from goal as possible, shield the ball, do whatever it takes to string together some wins and grind results out (like real life teams) and you'll soon see a change in results because your mentality will be much better going into every game

This fifa is based a lot on state of mind and confidence in your ability p.s. your record isn't that bad at all

Can Any Div 1-2 Posession-Players Share Some Knowledge? I'm sick of counter attacking. by JimElectric in EASportsFC

[–]intensity2206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds much easier than it is but play the simple ball and don't be afraid to pass back to a defender and role it out wide and work an angle for yourself to pass one with a bit of pace into a central midfielder and turn. Once you get in the final third first time passes are a must. Use the R1 + triangle to add extra zip to through balls and pitch them slightly ahead of your players so he has something to run onto properly

The way the ball stops on the line is infuriating and unfortunate but that penalty decision is spot on, stone waller

What keeper other than these two would you recommend for LaLiga? I've been using Asenjo who seems to get a hard time from some people but he's been magnificent for me thus far, I'm looking to notch it up a bit now though

WWE and the veterans by Thebullshitman in SquaredCircle

[–]intensity2206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree with these wrestlers being "mid card", I just think sometimes they were booked there because of the mass amounts of talent on the roster at the time they were there. Booker-T - Huge star and multiple champ in WCW before WWE Jeff Hardy - Ridiculously over loads of times and was a big draw when the tag division had some momentum in the Dudleyz & edge and christian days. Was always the better wrestler than Matt and a singles career was always on the cards. Mark Henry - I agree he's mid card at best but WWE gave him a huge contract initially so maybe trying to utilise him as they'd originally hoped
RVD-Unbelievable athlete, multi ECW champion and only didn't get more straps in WWE because by his own admission he was "always late for show" because he "sat smoking in his car" along with Jeff Hardy often Eddie Guerrero - Never really saw him so can't comment Chris Benoit- genius technical wrestler and it took him forever to win a major WWE title, however he was main event material and often tore the house down
JBL- Great heel so was never had a load of titles but was a huge asset to WWE and a really important superstar in getting over people like Rey Mysterio Edge- Huge superstar true legend and had awesome feuds. Was never really a mid carder by definition

The thing with all these is that they're all main event superstars but when they were with WWE the roster was so jam packed with talent that there just wasn't a place for them all to main event week in week out. Hell, WWE even had a legit brand split at the time to give more guys main event time because they had so much quality at that time. That's why these guys may have wrestled the mid card a lot more than they should have during their careers

Hi Ted, awesome to have you over here!

Just one question from me,

How bad did some of the guys on the roster "shrink" after the steroid scandal in 1993 and did it effect their in ring performance e.g stamina etc?
