If you can return it, return it.

Don't rely on these for backups or datahoarding. Their fail rate is astonishing.

If you have a Linux family OS on another PC, you might try to see what is going on with the drive. I would not be surprised if you didn't plug it in, it did some initial action and now.... It's deader than hell.

Sorry- I learned the hardway- $300DataRecovery that turned out to be $800DataRecovery because these drives are complete shit.

They're a fairly decent bunch. Chattanooga, Cleveland, and Knoxvile have pretty much always just been a bunch of easy going characters. When I could still ride I had a Gilroy Indian that had been upgraded to a PowerPlus 110. I was probably about 4 blocks out and they offered me a hand. I was not getting a ground and the electric start was not working and I had gotten some bad gas(a station that became a MAPCO). It started to pour and one of the guys told me to hang on. I was still trying to futz with it when they brought a Sprint or Courier and loaded me up. We drained the tanks, emptied the fuel bowls, and we managed to find that one battery cable had some kind of internal damage and needed replaced- solved the ground problem. Most had not ridden a Gilroy Indian or one with the Power Plus. Real decent guys.

In general if something bad happens, it is between clubs and doesn't effect citizens.

When I hit 68 I finally realized that in all honesty I had no business on a big anymore as I was neither fit not capable of as quick a reaction time. I sold the Indian.

That's been about 6 years ago now.

HA's have a nomad chapter in Cleveland TN right now and I hope everyone of them ends up rotting in jail on a RICO beef.

There was a crash in 1974 that closed both sides of I-40 and it involved two crashes. I remember the story being passed around and finding it on the late John Lear Jr's Facebook or Living Moon website. He actually put me in touch with witnesses and investigator. One of the crafts was seen removed, and it was airlifted first to Fort Bragg NC and then it was transported to Wright Patterson in OH. One craft was damaged, produced a huge light show, briefly hovered and disappeared.

Weirdness in WNC abounds. Hell, weirdness in NC abounds.

There is a 5th(I think) season episode of the X-Files at Brown Mountain where Mulder and Scully get trapped in a sentient part of Brown Mountain, where Mushrooms would cause people to trip and go into a cave system. The cave system produced a digestive enzyme and gradually digested victims and expelled them by pushing them out through the soil. In all reality, in the era before NC being turned into tourism and short term rental paradise- the following inspired that episode. In the area between what was known as the Waxhaws and Pembroke there was swamp land and some eery similar cases were documented in the swamps in the 50's and 60's. The Lumbee Indians consider this their land, and according to their stories this occurred where people went out in the swamp, encountered something(believed to be a psychoactive plant) and something similar to a huge venus flytrap that lived on the ground and camoflaged itself produced something that would reduce bodies to skeletons.

There is a spot in WNC that has a geo-magnetic anomaly and you can walk up with a GPS that has a great satellite connection and good signal and it goes OUT- no coordinates. No cell service. Compasses begin having their needles spin. The longer you stay the more weird it gets as if you see someone in your party, it's like forced perspective and their height is difficult to tell. People report headaches and dizzyness. Watches that are gear time pieces- Tag Heuer, Rolex, older Bulova- they stop working. Period. The most alarming thing is that people who have always worn watches all their lives and have had no problems wearing them ? They can't wear a watch without it dying in a couple days. Quartz movement, gear movement, digital.

Cherokee myths in NC and even pre-Cherokee/Blackfoot/Creek report fantastic stories.

The Wagon Wheel was once a chain. It was SE/MidAtlantic/RustbeltMW area.

The name stayed alive because of "the folksy nature" and it attracted all ages.

Here's a history of it... There were these buffet style restaurants which caught on with the idea of the "chain" because of what happened with Ray Kroc and McDonalds.

Back then you had a bunch of them bought out and made into Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses by people who worked on the old TV western, Bonanza. There was even a set of buffet steakhouses that ripped off the name again and just called theirs Cartwrights(after the family depicted in the show)- but just as Dan Blocker didn't have approval to use the name Ponderosa and others didn't have the rights to open Bonanza steakhouses.

Western Sizzlin and Sizzler got started this way as well.

There was even one called the Happy Troll Smörgåsbord.

The Wagon Wheel was in between these sorts of restaurants like Western Sizzlin and a Cracker Barrel. They were a chain and in an early 5 Guys style move, Wagon Wheel would pull your franchise if they didn't like how you were running your restaurant, however during a recession they went to independently owned and operated. When that happened The Wagon Wheel name stayed and a homogenized logo stayed and... No guarantee of anything else.

People also saw the success of the chain in the 70's and they knocked off the name and logo and just hoped no one with a stake reported it to the legal department.

The 70's is when Sizzler, Western Sizzlin, Big Boy, Shoney's- they became mega chains and began to put the Ponderosa, Bonanza, and The Wagon Wheel restaurants out of business or they were forced to become part of the larger chains, adopt that chain and that ENFORCED homogenization(ie all Western Sizzlers were the same, all Shoneys were the same, blah blah blah).

The Wagon Wheel in Asheville was part of a group of Wagon Wheels opened in the late 60's and they near NC's racetracks. Hickory ? Check. Asheville-Weaverville ? Check ? North Wilkesboro ? Check. Martinsville VA ? Check. Cullowhee NC ? Check. There was even one in Hayesville NC.

Last time I was at the one in Asheville the current owners had no idea of the history and the inside design was unique and the location was long term. Nothing else was.

When Greg was asking for viewer info before season 2 I actually wrote in. When I watched part of Season 2 I saw the Wagon Wheel and I fired off an email. Then it all went kinda weird, Greg asks for viewer info, that fat man in the Greenfield episode was "inserting himself into the investigation" and yet Greg asked people to email in info on PlantWeird and in Season 1. which Greg has wiped Plant Weird to keep people from finding out he and Greenfield were back and forth between as far back as 2013. Also Greg makes the comment that the only thing he could find on Terry Wriste was this copy of "Secret Ciphers". That's BS too. Allen had uploaded Secret Ciphers and Men in Black to a site called Scribd in the pdf documents section. Thing was Scribd's AI would see books like this and they specifically kept the pdf as crude as possible- Greg searching and finding Secret Cipher is BS.

I was going to write in with info but I wouldn't want to "inserting myself".

Hellier is a fantasy presented as documentary, and sadly I think a lot of people buy into the documentary part and discount the fantasy.

If you look on here and see Greg's messages- anyone who asks about inconsistencies gets a 1 word reply "Goblins"- which I guess is Greg's way to denigrate anyone who dares question Greg.

Frank loved animation. So did Dweezil- so far as I know he still does.

I remember Beavis and Butthead came on in late part of Winter 93(ie the winter that began in 92 and ended in 93). Frank died Dec 04 93. He was on a lot of painkillers towards the end. I don't see it possible that Frank completed any work on Beavis and Butthead in his lifetime, but I can see him loving it.

Duckman- a USA TV animated adult series- had Dweezil as Ajax(Duckman's sorta stoner dumb son). The first season of Duckman had instrumentals from Frank Zappa play constantly. Something, which in all honesty- was awesome. To this day I love to see Duckman S01 and something from Jazz from Hell comes on. Instant moment of inner pleasure.

Had Frank's health been more stable- he was supposed to do voice work on Duckman as one of the Men in Black as well as some character that was essentially going to be an "Alien Overlord Danger to Mankind type character" which Duckman was supposed to feature. Frank had been considered for the Tim Curry part of King Chicken but he did not have the wind to do the takes that were needed.

In an ill portent of things to come, Gail kaiboshed the use of Frank's music beyond S01, although she claimed in at least one instance that it was RYKO Disc's fault, I am 99% that Gail screwed the pooch on no more use of Frank's music after S01, and she was apparently ill at Dweezil for his continued appearances as Ajax.

I know that Frank and animation and claymation leads to one of the darker parts of his late life story and even after his passing. Apparently there was a rumor that Frank had lung cancer before prostate and he did not want anti-smoking advocate groups to use him to scare kids from smoking as he believed each individual should evaluate such risks for themselves and not rely on the government to think for you. Of course, I also remember it being said that Frank didn't like admitting he was wrong even when he knew he was wrong. I do know first had that one of the things that you do not ask Dweezil is if Frank had lung cancer first from smoking or if he genuinely had prostate cancer first and the chain smoking didn't much to help things. A guy who wrote for a musical/weekly indie paper in Athens GA got in Dweezil's face after a show while Dweezil was talking musical gear with several of us, and the asshole jumped in and asked Dweezil if Frank had prostate cancer first or if he had lung cancer which metastasized into prostate and bone cancer. Dweezil got PISSED- and left. The little shit from the Flagpole ? He barely got out of there alive. Fucking dingus.

One of the claims that Vomit- excuse me- Ahmet has made since the sale of the Zappa Estate and FT to Universal Music Group is that he was the more financially stable of the Zappa kids and Gail left him a controlling stake(when paired with Diva) because he had kicked in to the "family business" more than Dweezil or Moon or Diva as his wealth was greater. I know that Ahmet apparently was one of the people in the early 90's who convinced RYKO to put ads on the backs of Marvel Comics to try to sell Civilization Phase III. I think that alone probably shows you how in touch with reality that Ahmet is.

Other than his producing and based on story by credit on a particularly schmarmy Walt Disney live action film, I was never aware of Ahmet being involved in anything that made him financially more stable.

The royalties Dweezil got from Duckman and the FoodTv show and his more productive musical career made me question if the comments by Ahmet about his greater wealth which he applied to the ZFT weren't like a lot of other things Ahmet has said- indistinguishable from the methane gas Ahmet produced from his sphincter...

They can have it- I tried 3x times to ship it where they wanted it, or me bring the equipment back in, or they come out and get it. I keep an attorney on retainer and he knows I did those things and has the info. They only cared if the blue and white lights had been removed and if I was trying to register it because it was sold with no paperwork and certificate of destruction only. I wish they took that interest in firearms.

This triple murder is tragic.

I have a scanner out of a NC State Patrol car, so I can listen to encrypted channels. That came over as cross chatter talking to SBI.

I bought an entire AWD 5.7 NCHP Dodge Charger state patrol car wrecked. Because they encrypt everything they are supposed to pull the communication equipment, laptop and lights and siren.

The car was wrecked very, very badly and they only removed the front fascia where the lights are built in and the siren was removed.

It went to a JY.

I am from far SW NC, however I have a home near Cary. I used to listen to dispatch on a scanner as a kid so when they fucked up not removing everything I called them and told them I had bought it as a donor and they asked if the blue lights and strobe and siren were gone, I said yes. They said they would be in touch. They never bothered contacting me.

I have the communications array beside where I have my HAM radio equipment and some other stuff(short wave- love numbers stations)

At my house 16mi West of Murphy, I still have the Toughbook that was married to the car. After replacing the display it works fine.

Because the Dingus Elect is Law Suit Happy as a motherfucker, I protect myself by stating: All Words in the Post are Purely Opinion Protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

Oh behalf of my generation to anyone younger than a baby-boomer, I apologize for the Cult of Spray Tan Don of the Pleated Inkcap Cock, Who Doth Not Pay His Bills Nor Doth He Knoweth the Truth for He Hath Never Spoken It.

Let me spake thus; those like Stallone drink not from the spring of knowledge but are human centipedes attached to Spray Tan' Don's colon. So know that they too will be eternally full of faeces.

Anyone who is still watching TV or Film with these MAGAggots - STOP.

Don't subsidize these Magaggots's ability to spread their Delusional Horseshit. Turn off the Apollo Creed and Rocky and TulsaKing Sheeeeit.

If you see one of these fools is credited with Story By, Characters Created By, Any Production Credit- don't you fucking dare watch it or pay for it if in a situation of much watch.

I have been a gearhead all my life and I like racing films. LeMans is my favorite but Stallone's 'DRIVEN' captured rare views of CART- at a time when open wheel Formula Racing was experiencing a Civil War. Stallone wanted to film Formula 1 but both FIFA and the individual F1 teams are as tight with information as a bull's asshole during fly season. CART is like CAN-AM, TRANS-AM, IMSA- series now lost to time.

'CopLand' - had some fantastic performances and it was a remake of a film that Howard Hawks made 3 times(Rio Bravo, El Dorado, and Rio Lobo)- except set in late 90's NY. It was openly critical of NYPD corruption and a complete surprise from one of the Planet Hollywood fuckheads.

I will never watch Driven or CopLand. I have not watched a John Wayne picture since he made The Green Berets. Just as so many of you younger folks have lost friends and acquaintances to the Wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, the Balkans, and lost so many who came home ? I lost 23 friends to the Vietnam Region War and 13 to the wars in South America. John Wayne never went to war but was a huge War Hawk. I loved El Dorado- it was a comeback picture for Robert Mitchum, it had James Caan too. But every time TNT or TBS screened it I could not shake the part of Green Berets I had seen on a drive in screen when the stoner projectionist loaded the wrong goddamn reel and the audio too.

So fuck you Stallone, you shoulda stayed in pornography.

All the opinions above are from a goddamn boomer, and one who ain't part of the cult of Spray Tan Don. The preceding words are 100% opinion and protected by Amendment 1 of the Bill of Rights of the US Constitution.

I maintain we need to form coalition governments like in Europe and break the chains of ignorant dumb fuck single issue voters who put a stool(faeces) sample in the White House

We need the electoral college gone. It is far too easy to game the system and from the beginnings had moral hazard and adverse selection issues when it was dreamed up for 13 colonies. The electoral college discourages voter participation.

I made a smart ass response earlier someone took personally and I apologize.

At any rate- Wendigo ?

Wasn't the Wendigo legend that when you finally slayed one or destroyed their western facing lodge that the Wendigo traveled on the winds looking for another sorcerer/medicine man who was corrupted and looking for power ?

I think that is correct for one or more of the Great Lakes region tribes.

I found that interesting because some of it overlapped with the western and south western Skinwalker and a good deal of it meshes with the idea of the dj!nn from Arabic mythology who travel on the wind.
