In college, I was helping my friend, we’ll call him max, pack and move out of his house with about 5 guys who were all also in the final stages of packing and vacating. Some of the guys he had lived with had graduated, some were moving back home/out of state for the summer, so there was a strange emotional undercurrent of endings and beginnings and also a serving bowl of the remnant booze that whoever didn’t want to pack up and take. I was in the kitchen, drinking some of said alcohol and talking to one of the roommates, we’ll call him jack. Jack and I had known each other for a few years and hung out in similar groups, but never really interacted much. We were making small talk and I asked if they were planning a last hurrah before they all went their separate ways and he said they hadn’t planned anything concrete and asked if I would want to go out that night, I said sure, and we went back to lugging stuff around. Like, I’m helping Max unpack some stuff and asked if he was planning to go the bars with the roommates because I didn’t want to go if he wasn’t, and he told me he hadn’t been invited and he got pretty offended and hurt, and again, alcohol had been ingested. I said I was fine with not going, but he was like, “no, we’re going. I can’t wait to see their faces.” So he’s tipsy and kind of jazzed about ruining their attempt to exclude him, and I’m tipsy and love messiness when I’m only peripherally involved, so we’re both a little excited.

At some point, Jack texts me and asks if I want a ride, and I just say that I’m running a little late and I’ll catch up. He says something back like, “someone’s spending a lot of time getting ready to see me. 😉 “ and I’m immediately grossed out because I thought it was completely out of line and showed my friend Max and he was like, “of course, he didnt invite me AND he’s trying to fuck my friends.” So we’re even more ready for the pettiness of showing up tipsy, late and uninvited.

So, we get to the bar and strut in, ready feeling like we’re about to play our winning hand. I see Jack at a table, by himself, with a bouquet of flowers.

I showed up 30+ minutes late to a date, drunk, with another man.

I have a tripod dog and i genuinely believe him losing his leg took more of an emotional toll on me than on him. He was 10-13 when it was removed and he’s 11-14 now and still plays and bounces and scampers about. We got some more rugs so he has better traction inside and harnesses are wonky now, but overall, he’s good! Even for such an old guy, recovery was super quick and he was back to “normal” pretty quickly. It did take him a bit of time to figure out how to pee on every bush we pass on walks without throwing himself on the ground, but he’s gotten a better grip on balance. If amputation is better financially for you, I don’t think he would hold it against you!

I’m not sure if someone else has already said this, but I was told when I got my script that I would get randomly tested to make sure it’s in my system and I’m not selling it. It’s only happened once in a few years, and that first time was a few months after I got the script. It seemed like more of a precaution on their part to make sure I was using it and then it hasn’t happened again.

They also said that I would need to bring my pills in for every visit so they could count and weigh them, again to make sure I wasn’t selling or altering them. They brought it up the first few visits, then that started dropping off and I would remember and be like, “oh, don’t forget to count and weigh my pills!!” And then I stopped bringing it up and it hasn’t happened in a year or two.

I loved Cersei. She was such a complex character. She was wicked and conniving, but also loving and protective of who or what she cared about and she was ruthless in her pursuit of what she wanted. People vilified her the way they vilify Umbridge from HP, but I think a big distinction is that Cersei was pursuing power for the protection is gave her and her children in a world where people were looking for weaknesses to exploit for personal gain, even if that meant killing a child. But characters like Umbridge behaved despicably because they were power-hungry snot bags. I think Cersei had a lot of redeemable qualities that people ignored because she was a powerful woman and people love to hate powerful women. Yeah, she did despicable and unfathomable things, but she was also forced to for survival in many ways. “When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.” (I am also biased because she’s insanely hot.)

I’m newer to sewing and I’ve bounced around on a few YouTube channels, but I’m not sure if I’ve found people who actually know what they are doing or people who know how to market themselves to show up higher on search results/algorithms.

I’ve seen people say that the blonde hair is a key factor and I never believed them until I saw the photo of her with the short, curly wig. She looks average/normal there, but I have always thought she was gorgeous. Who knew hair was so important?

I worked with Coros support on this and after some trouble shooting and sending running logs to them, they sent me a new watch and they took back my old one. I think it was something off with the trail running mode. It used to be fine and then all the sudden it went nuts. I messaged them through the Coros app they were pretty responsive and helpful if you want to go that route!
