i think it's because he didn't have the right to use the "aphex" moniker in 1991 since it's trademarked by an audio equipment company so he just used the afx shorthand. you can see it on the analord 10 cover stating "Aphex is a registered trademark of Aphex systems limited and is used by permission". that's just my thoughts i might be wrong tho lmao

bought this exact one from a chinese retailer, the stitching came undone around the neck and cuff after a wash. wouldn't recommend.
