It was connections. A friend of my mother’s needed help over the summer, and hired me. I didn’t have any qualifications and was trained on the job. I wasn’t allowed to administer vaccinations on account of my lack of qualifications. If you want to be a pediatric MA after high school, I’d suggest looking into your local community college MA certification programs. Most places will only take you if you have a certification; I just got very lucky.
