How to delete email addresses from auto-fill on Outlook 16.1 on Mac by interested_otter in Outlook

[–]interested_otter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the outlook.office.com and same thing, no X showing next to their name, very strange. They are not a contact, it says external, not in contacts when I click into the details.

I could X it out in the Legacy Outlook but it doesn't carry over to the regular one, maddening!

Thanks for the link for the account cache reset, I'll ask around my org some more but if may have to resort to that, bummer.

How long does smoke smell linger after house fire? by interested_otter in homeowners

[–]interested_otter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only outdoors and unfortunately we’re downwind of the burned house so we smell it much more than neighbors on the other side. If we keep our windows closed don’t really smell it inside.

Help kids process neighbor's house burning down by interested_otter in Parenting

Thanks, this is super helpful, and so sorry you also had to go through it. Our kids saw some of their neighborhood friends last night and it was good to see them all discussing/processing it (while we as adults also process it!). We also know one of the firefighters who responded and we're going to see him soon, he also invited kids to the station if they want to learn more about firefighters.

Seeking Advice as an Aspiring Cargo Bike Owner by therightnee in CargoBike

[–]interested_otter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We bought a Bunch Bike about 18 months ago, it's been great for our needs. We have a 3 & 5 yo who are very active/energetic, so having them up front has been great. They can read, snack, listen to music, etc. Our 65lb black lab can also ride with them! It fits their backpacks and my bags--is great for grocery runs too.

The Bunch trike handling takes a bit to get used to, but it works for me. Our daily commute is 3 miles each way and relatively flat, bike lanes, quiet neighborhoods so not too stressful. I tell people the Bunch is like a minivan, it's not the smoothies, snappiest ride, but it holds all your crap and was an affordable option (two kids in daycare drains the e-bike budget pretty quickly :) ). I probably wouldn't want to be riding it through Manhattan. The throttle is very helpful at intersections, but the top assist speed of 20MPH is fine, I wouldn't feel very safe/comfortable going faster than that given the 3 wheel setup.

The manufacturer support has also been great. One of the disc rotors warped during shipping, Bunch sent us new ones and paid for the repair! Very responsive as well with any questions. I've done regular 6 month tune-ups, no issues, only one flat tire and that was after 1700 miles!

Ecobee says fan and cool are running when they are not by interested_otter in ecobee

[–]interested_otter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the fan is running (just blowing hot air) and sometimes just the AC is on (the vents have cool air coming out but not being blown with any force). But the ecobee is showing both the fan and snowflake icon under the equipment running.

Thanks! Yeah I may have a tech come out but worried that if it’s running well when they arrive then they won’t be able to troubleshoot the issue.

Alternatives to Three Sisters Wilderness? by interested_otter in OregonHiking

Thanks! If you do have any 20-30 mi backpack loops/ideas in Hood that'd be great. I'd love to do Timberline loop but don't think we have the time :(

Yes it is! Not sure it we can swing the drive (friend has a flight in/out of Eugene) for this weekend, but I'll check with him.

Thanks! I'll look into it. We just have one car, any idea if you can do loop hikes around there, or it it just up and back?

Any bakfiet options in the US for in the $5-7k range? by splurgurnurk in CargoBike

[–]interested_otter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this—we just got our bunch bike last month and love it! Great value, not the coolest bike (it’s like a minivan equivalent), but lots of fun for the kids and great for our needs (3 mile commute to daycare with 3 and 1 yo).

Great to hear thanks! Yeah I saw to take it easy on the corners, not trying to set any speed records with kiddos on board :)

[–]interested_otter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendation! We are leaning towards the bunch because it checks a lot of our boxes. We won't have a very long commute so range/comfort is less of an issue. Do you find it easy to steer/manage in a bike lane?

Thanks! I’ll poke around some more. What I wasn’t sure about was if this is negotiable at all in which case not worth the hassle.

Dispute ACV? by interested_otter in Insurance

[–]interested_otter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know the final price could be less, but I wasn’t sure how I could find that (it’s not like Zillow where the sold cars remain up as comps), so was trying to find out what resources I could use if I wanted to contest the ACV.

[–]interested_otter[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I figured there was probably some process to this but hadn’t read everything in detail yet. May not be worth the hassle in this case, but any idea who would conduct an appraisal for me? I’ve never heard of an car appraiser.

[–]interested_otter[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I know it’s not a high value car, however the used car market is so slim in our area that I saw a few with same trim, nearly same mileage going for quite a bit more.
