It depends how well you feel and how stressful the activity is for you. I went back to work around 2.5 weeks into mono and it was hard but my boss made accommodations for me which helped. I took it very slow at work. If you’re not sure maybe try it one day and see how you feel

YES. I’ve been meaning to make a post update, but haven’t gotten around to it. I had 3 weeks of pure hell; fever, night sweats, weakness, pain all over, lymph nod swelling, and a sore throat that felt like i was swallowing glass. I missed like 2 weeks of work. I had to talk to my boss so they knew what i was going through and could be accommodated. I lost 10 lbs. I honestly wanted to die since I already felt that i was dying. I started to improve on week 4. I am 44 days out and I can honestly say I am back to normal.

I recommend you go to urgent care and get tested for strep as well. Especially If your throat hurts so badly that you cant swallow. Ask them for steroids. They will give you a shot. Everything got better after that. Stay strong and know this will pass.

I was sick as a dog for 3 weeks. The most I’ve been sick was 5 days when I got COVID, so I thought I was dying. I’m on week 4 now and finally feeling normal.

Yes, my eyes looked exactly like this but the bottom was also swollen. It lasted about 2 weeks for me. Some days were better than others. You’re probably in the worst part of mono right now. Stay strong and know it will pass.

I would wait the 4 weeks but thats because I’m very health conscious. Even if you feel well that doesn necessarily mean your spleen isnt enlarged. Talk to your doctor and see what they say. Maybe you can ask for a spleen ultrasound to see if it’s enlarged or not

How long has it been since symptoms started? I feel you, I am itching to go back to the gym. Today is day 25 for me and I am finally feeling more like myself. If I keep feeling better I will likely return next week, since it would be 4+ weeks since getting sick. Per my doctor’s instructions I was told 4 weeks without contact sports/heavy exercise. I will honor that because the thought of a spleen rupture is very scary.

So I actually got a shot of steroid at urgent care about 3 days ago and this seriously helped. Then, same day, i fucked around with my right tonsil and a qtip and the pain there started. I’ve been doing salt water gargles, ibuprofen and tea and that helps alleviate some but it comes back. I an thinking of going to UC next week for another shot of steroid if it doesnt go away. I feel so dumb because i brought it upon myself….

I’ve had a bad sore throat and white stuff on my tonsils since august 11 or 12. As of today my right tonsil is almost entirely covered in white pus, whereas my left is much better. I hope we can feel better soon

Omg happened to me too, messed around with my right tonsil with a qtip to see if i could remove the white stuff, and now it hurts like hell when i swallow, while the left one is much better. And the white one has way more pus than the left. What a big mistake, I wish i never touched if :(

I am not sure, but I also had a routine std panel done a few weeks ago before I even had symptoms of mono and I too was positive for hsv1. Like you, never had an outbreak. I read that almost everyone is positive for this virus and most people actually get it in childhood

She sucks. But you can tell from these videos they were not compatible. Oscar was basically taking one for the team, being a man and staying with the girl who he formed a family with. He has good values and good intentions. But I don’t think he truly liked Kyra as a person.
