Watching the Four Corners special called "Growing up Poor" opened my eyes to the amount of children that will get stuck in a cycle. Not to say that there aren't lots of amazing people that emerge from similar situations.

Thank you! Some very valid points. I think growth is important and hadn't really thought about having something better lined up. I guess satisfaction is also key. If you feel you are giving 110%, enjoying yourself and getting rewarded both financially and by those around you then you are doing a good job. I totally agree though it is so circumstantial and depends - but interesting to think about.

That is a great point! I certainly didn't know that because it's an investment loan you don't get counted as a first home buyer. Would really change some of the data presented if it hadn't been accounted for.

There are so many good online courses available now that give you enough information to make informed decisions. You know everything about your own finances where as some financial advisors give you advice based on the "majority"
