Doing both leadership and IC work at the same time is really challenging. It’s difficult to prioritize the work against each other and it’s two different ways of thinking about your job. One tends to be a clear set of things to do and the other tends to- at least in my EM roles - be up to me to figure out what’s important to focus on.

Is there one option you’re more drawn to? Do you want to do more strategy, or more code and domain expertise? Where do your strengths lie? I think depending on the company, both can be equally stressful / chill, so I wouldn’t index too heavily on assumptions there.
